I can back home from work only to be @ d door by little baby @ d door. D conversation goes like dis:
Baby: welcome mom, what did u bring for me
Mom: I brought nothing
She waited for me to UnCloth then came back
Baby: Give me that nothing mum I can eat it
Mum: can't stop laughing, I said I brought nothing
Then she started crying. How do I explain d word nothing to her in another way?just a little above 2yrs n I don't want to buy something for her to pacify her

i guess she thought u said nutting

and she thinks its a kind of nut

I get the message u're trying to pass across(not to expect something any time u go out) buh she's just a kid, u can pardon her this time and something for her, especially as she's crying. I can't stand my daugther shedding tears @ all, I might even develop HBP!! Last time it happend I ...*sobs*

Thanks, I usually brought things for them anytime I went out but today I didn't bring anything. Now after telling her nothing if I shd give her something don't u think it's wrong.

Is she still crying? I guess not, you can take her across the street and get som'in for her,while she's eating what u just bought, u tell her that she shouldn't "always" expect som'in whenever you come back home!

To answer your question; Yes, I think its wrong to present anything to her while she was crying especially, after saying you didn't bring in anything. U just wait till the crying session is over before giving/getting her anything!

I find this funny and heartbreaking at d same time.
She was disappointed.

Please buy her something no matter how small whenever you are coming home.

I don't see anything wrong in buying things for them whenever u go out.


Best bet, get a carton of caprisone or other good fruit juice, get a carton of biscuit even if na cabin sef, pack them in your room and whenever u return from anywhere, just give to them, no matter how small.

There is that sense of belonging, that mum will always give them something anytime she is back from work.



U can still discipline them, but this one is too much.





As for me? Anytime I am home and my 1yr + niece comes visiting, na she de always make me go out, because I keep buying buying things.
