the land have water area as boundary but it is dry now, water only flows in d rainy season. d major problem is security. sir are any place close to Ilorin?

if they re still dropping in numbers u can go ahead and treat them that way.
but most cases i use keproceryl instead of tetracycline.
but next tym try and do preventive measure wit dat solution from week 1 after hatching

I just added enough water to the one in the pond and it works. the problem is the p.h of the water. More thanks to Mr Robonski and the house. God bless!

I saw bruises on like four of them and he said they will heal up.

Any tip on how to take care of the bruises? He said others might likely eat them but am not OK with that.

Seperate the bruised ones and keep dem in a seperate pond or tank to heal if d bruises are not much. If d bruises are much, just kill, cook and eat them or dey will eventually die in d pond.
If u leave dem with the other fishes, dey will be killed and eaten by them. Fishes go after anytin dat smells of blood.

you can decide to build a poultry, piggery over your pond , even channel your toilet waste to ponds. But i consider such irritating and unhygienic. If you manage well your fishes will still be big, depending also on feed quality with seeds

Oga mi, can u elucidate more on d poultry over the fish pond? Would the fishes eat all the poutry droppings as it falls? Wat about water pollution? Also do av an idea of d ideal number of stocking density for the chickens to fishes.

yes.ive heard of using poultry droppings to feed fish. dt guy dt was supposed to mentor me told me dt if i cannot make it to the earthen pond to feed the fish for a day or two, there is a way to use poultry droppings to feed them. So sad we had issues cos of greed.

i also heard dried poultry droppings can replace soy or bambaranut or ur source of protein in local feed formulation.


I cannot cannot imagine the kind ofstench dt will be oozing into d neighbourhood.

nb- driedpoultry manure is 30% protein.

except it is radioactive Material or contaminated, it should have gone thru processes in d animals that would had neutralize it, but i blieve any health expert should help on d biological processes; though i dont encourage such act. Dont be greedy, dont go pooing into your ponds because you want to reduce feeding cost(laugh)
