Popular televangelist and founder of World Changers Church International, Creflo Dollar, is now hoping to get 200,000 people to donate $300 each so he can buy a brand new luxurious $65 million Gulfstream G650 airplane for his ministry, which last year had billionaires reportedly waiting in line to get one.

An appeal on his website to fund the purchase of the multimillion dollar airplane noted that the appeal was triggered by a recent engine failure on his current carrier that could have resulted in a tragedy had it not been for his skillful pilot.

"The ministry's current airplane, was built in 1984, purchased by the ministry in 1999 and has since logged four million miles. Recently on an overseas trip to a global conference, one of the engines failed. By the grace of God, the expert pilot, who's flown with Creflo for almost 20 years, landed the plane safely without injury or harm to any passengers," said the appeal.

Dollar insisted that he needs one of the most luxurious private jets made today in order to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

"Due to this recent incident coupled with the 31 years the airplane has been in service, we believe it is time to replace this aircraft so that our Pastors and staff can continue to safely and swiftly share the Good News of the Gospel worldwide. Believe it or not, there are still millions of people on this planet who have never heard of Jesus Christ and know nothing of His greatness. Our hearts desire to see precious lives changed and snatched out of darkness and thrust into His marvelous light! We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ," the appeal continued before asking supporters of the ministry to sow a $300 seed into the airplane fund, billed Project G650.

"The mission of Project G650 is to acquire a Gulfstream G650 airplane so that Pastors Creflo and Taffi and World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace. We are believing for 200,000 people to give contributions of 300 US dollars or more to turn this dream into a reality — and allow us to retire the aircraft that served us well for many years," the appeal noted.

Apart from its price tag, this aircraft isn't cheap to maintain, and according to savannahnow only about 100 of them had been built as of November 2014.

The Christian Post reached out to World Changers Church International Thursday for comment on how much of the $65 million has been raised so far but this reporter was repeatedly directed to a customer service line which went unanswered.

In an interview with World Changers Church late last year, representative Kayla Dollar indicated to CP that spreading the Gospel, while convenient for Pastor Dollar, does not come cheaply to the churches where he ministers because they have to partially foot the cost of his fuel bill.

"He does not have a set honorarium now but he does just ask for half of his fuel to be paid while travelling and then anything else if you want to add just as a love offering, would be fine," she explained.

When asked how much the fuel bill to New York City would be, she explained that the full cost of fuel for travelling to New York City was $9,500.

"The cost is $9,500 so he would ask for half of that so $4,750," she said.

That price, she noted, would remain fixed regardless of the size of the crowd.

While buying the new jet, sell the old one and help the needy.

Well, wouldn't you know it; Creflo Dollar is at it again! This time he wants the church (you) to buy him a 65 Million Dollar jet (for the gospel, don't you know!). He wants 200,000 people to give him the 65 million at $300 per person.

At first I thought; "what a wicked obnoxious greedy man Dollar is!"

But then I began to think it over a little more, and a plan formed in my mind.

You see, Dollar, along with his "prosperity gospel-word-faith" buddies like Copeland, DuPlantis, TBN (Crouches), Meyer, TD Jakes and the like, all claim that they have acquired their millions of dollars by simply "giving in faith" and receiving much more back because they are men and women of "faith and power." And, they further claim that they "speak their wealth into existence."

So, I called up Dollar's "church" and offered an idea that would be a win-win situation for everyone, and, based on Dollar's "faith and power" would bring in his 65 million in cash pronto!

Here is the idea I ran by Dollar's staff at their "church." It goes like this...

I said to the person on the phone "why doesn't Creflo Dollar sow his "faith seed" into his followers by giving and sending them each $2000, and then, as he teaches people to do, "confess" his "100 Fold Return" for doing so? I went on to say "it's a win-win for everyone!" We get $2000 in cash and Creflo get's his big expensive jet! Cool idea, is it not?! You bet ya!!

After being a bit stunned, dumbfounded and a little perturbed, the person on phone informed me that "it doesn't work that way." Why, I asked, why can't it work like that?" The answer was; "well, it, well, what are you meaning, it just, that is not how we do it, you just don't get it, well, I mean, that doesn't well," etc, etc.

I asked again; "doesn't Dollar believe in giving and receiving?" The person answered "of course." And I said; "well, why not give to your supporters?" "Are they not good ground to "plant your faith seed in?" I asked. "They were good enough to take money FROM, why are they not good enough to give some money BACK to?"

At that, the person on the phone had nothing to say and wanted to end the conversation. I didn't blame them for wanted to get out of the phone call as fast as possible because Dollar's con game and deceptive thinking was being exposed, and we can't have that, now can we?!

The funny thing is, that the people who claim that you get rich by giving them money, never want to give anything back to the people making them rich in the first place. That just won't do at all!

So, Mr. Dollar; I'm looking forward to seeing you explain to Jesus Christ your scheme to steal yet more money from gullible Christians. That day is rapidly approaching!...

2 Peter 2:1-3, "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness (LUST AFTER MONEY AND MATERIAL THINGS) shall they with feigned words (WORDS OF DECEPTION) make merchandise (A SOURCE OF MONEY) of you: whose judgment (THEIR EVIL EXPOSED AND JUDGED BY GOD) now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation (BEING SENT TO HELL) slumbereth not."

Extortionists!!!
This is how it works, first build an image of a powerful spokesman for God, feed the congregation with fear of you especially the consequences of disobeying your directive to sow seeds for the propagation of faked Gospel

Next, threaten them with a curse and delusional possession of Keys to Hell's Gate. Coerce them to part with their property now and expect a blessing later. Warn them that failure to receive blessing after giving is their fault (Disclaimer ), and their lack of faith

This was not how Jesus operated. It is certainly a different Gospel and am not surprised when some persons come with the message of seeing these men in Hell. Now, that is predictable based on the antecedents of the extortionists

I don't get it! People get annoyed and accuse pastors of extorting members. But the same people don't see anything wrong with having the richest man in Africa from our country, and yet there is still gross poverty in the land. They don't see anything wrong with Dangote charging exorbitant prices for basic necessities-- commodities mainly patronised by the poor and low income earners. Instead he is being celebrated, pastors who push the gospel are reviled. I am not of the opinion that a pastor should live an extravagant livestyle. But I think the criticisims stems more from persecution and enemies trying to hinder the work of Jehovah.

Men. Relax your butt hole. Dangote and other capitalists INVEST back into the economy and provide alot of jobs and TAXES through these investments.

Their luxuries are visibly connected to their hustle.

Don't you ever compare strategists to soothsayers.

Pastors also pay taxes in form of rents, capital taxes e.t.c. Just that their/church income is not taxed. Some of their workers are placed on a salary scale. Hence I don't see much difference between the two situations discussed. Besides some of these pastors do a lot of humanitarian work e.g TB Joshua, Oyedepo. The only ascept where I think your argument is valid is that a pastor is called to minister not to gather wealth for himself. He should be comfortable, not extravagantly rich.

I still prefer a man who openly begs his "flocks" to donate to buy him a pleasure private jet for his "ministry" to those in our environ who buys and comes out and tell u to ur face that it is "his private money" that got him a private jet. Or those that runs errands for d political vips, gets a "birthday jet gift" from them and still come out to tell u it his church nameless church members that got d plane for "papa".

After all said and done, when shall they fly d planes to Iran, Iraq, Affghan, Yemen, North Korea etc abi their "ministry" nor cover those people even with dia private jets??

Jesus picked the twelve disciples and commissioned them to go and tell the greatest story ever told, how Jesus Christ died a cruel death on Calvary for the sins of the world. What might appear remarkable to some is that there was no ‘big budget’ plan, no private jets, no T.V. stations to promote the events, no traditional or digital media, no T.V. Specials. In the natural world we would say about all of this, that it’s a recipe for disaster. It couldn’t possibly work.

But these men, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, wrote the four gospels. John wrote Revelation and Paul wrote two thirds of the New Testament. All of this is still being read today by Christians in the Christian church worldwide. So what do these men have that we don’t have in the Christian world now? The answer is quite simply…. the anointing and dedication to the Love of Jesus Christ ….. and it works, obviously.

The problem in the church today is that the belief is that they must have large auditoriums, packed to bursting, with attendees praying for revival for the world. The point that is clearly being missed at these convivial gatherings of church Pastors, Assistant Pastors and Christian leaders is… God Has already sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on Calvary…. and He’s NOT going to do anything else.

It has not yet dawned on the church that they need first a revival of the heart and not of the head for His harvest to be brought in. We pray about the harvest. We talk about the harvest. We sing and dance about the harvest… but though the fields are ripe there is still no harvest.

So what do we do? Certainly, we do not need bigger and bigger supersonic jets. We don’t need big budget plans. We just need the anointing of God and the dedication that these disciples manifested because they DID bring in the harvest - with nothing.

It is time to stop singing and go out and preach the true Gospel and that is Christ and Him Crucified, in your own church and your own town. Bring to your church, for a change, the people who do NOT know Jesus and this could include your brothers and sisters in your own home.
Stop getting fat on Pastor’s teachings which in many cases are not based on the Word of God but on the precepts of mens teachings about the acquisition of material gain.

We must stop talking endlessly about these prosperity gospels. We are not against them but they are saturating the airwaves, on radio, T.V., the Internet, all media - continuously begging for donations - apparently for revival. How come the disciples never had any personal wealth? They brought in one of the greatest harvests ever and one that still reverberates ‘till this very day.

At $65m, a G650 is indeed a high-end jet as of 2021 just
like it was in 2015!

An insightful post though on
the politics behind the mode of
raising funds (by pastors and pastorpreneurs) for buying
private jets.
