So for someone who has 500k to invest in Nigeria, which area does he/she she go into, considering the exchange rate

1) i am sure alot of people will say mini importation. but how does a mini importer cushion the effects of the increase in dollar rate against someone that imports in container loads of the same product.? should thr investor now purchase wholesale from imprters?

2, will becoming a distrubutor of made in Nigeria products be better?

3, for those who will advice on agriculture, please tell us what area of agriculture. How 500k will be spent in that area and the returns on investment.

4, If u will suggest production, let us know what to produce, how 500k will be invested and what is the return on investment.

I am have noticed that once someone asks for advice on business in the section, people just mention anything that comes to their mind without details.

we are lazy to investigate and observe....we hardly invest in things that the environment needs....this guy might end up going into importation business when there is also exportation, farming etc

good point. that is why i asked for details and example using 500k. On a normal day people will flood this place with suggestions of business they have not tried and knw nothing about. Jst because they feel its lucrative they suggest.

i actually i am a student but when i tried work on the exportation...i noticed exporting cocoa, charcoal, timber per trip is very lucrative....like for timber, for a truck u will get 300k profit. for cocoa, i got to know that a kilo of cocoa in international market should be around $15 but in ondo state u will get a kilo for like 300naira. but the problem is buyer,i really dont know how to go about it. but for the timber, i know of a guy that was into it. he stoped because of the stress.

you will need a dollar acct for the exportation of cocoa. you contact you buyers, tell them they will pay for the shipping. after they have paid it, you help them to package it inside nylon per kilo and put it inside a carton...send it through DHL to them but for the timber, you will use shipping for it. the guy used to ship timber to china

Op the truth is that all this comments from pple are just speculations.. they heard this is booming they think it's booming... what separates a poor from the rich is information and I think you can't get that information from anyone here all is just speculation.. do you knw how many have bn into farming (fish e.t.c) and some made it there and some didn't..
