If Federal Govt cannot apprehend the major sponsorers of Book Haram (whoever they are) then the war against this terror group is far from over. To kill a dragon, you have to struck its heart and not its wings or tail.

Especially if the Borneo Elders did not ask for the withdrawal of JTF in 2013. It won't have happened if they didn't call for Ihejirika's head. It wouldn't have if Buhari didn't say that attack on BH is attack on the north.... #NerverAgain

Sign agreement on no more killings, I will withdraw JTF, Jonathan to Borno elders
March 09, 2013

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan yesterday in Maiduguri, accused Borno State Elders of playing to the gallary over the activities of Boko Haram Islamic sect insurgency in the state, describing the situation as unfortunate.

Jonathan spoke during an interactive session with Borno State stakeholders at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Government House Maiduguri, in continuation of his two- day working visit to Borno and Yobe States, the epicentres of Boko Haram.

He was responding to requests by the Elders for the Federal Government to grant amnesty to the sect members as well as withdraw the military Joint Task Force, JTF from Maiduguri and other areas in the state during the second day of his working visit to Borno State..

President Jonathan lamented that none of the elders in the state had publicly condemned the killings and bombings being carried out by the sect members and advised them to put their ‘’house in order,’’ by talking to their children who had been causing havoc in the country to drop their arms against the country.

Buhari faults crackdown on Boko Haram
JUNE 3, 2013

Presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 Presidential election, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has frowned on the emergency rule in parts of the North. He alleged that innocent civilians were being killed in the states.

Buhari speaking during a Liberty FM Hausa Service Programme, Guest of the Week, on Sunday in Kaduna said that Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished unlike the “special treatment” given to the Niger Delta militants by the Federal Government.

ichidodo:
We wonder how these events would have unfolded if GEJ hadn't stretched the front by inviting Niger and especially Chad into a coalition early February?? From the invasion of Baga, Gambaru to Malam fatori by Chad in the north to the battle space operations by our boys in Marte,Konduga and the defence of Maiduguri-very stupid move by BH to waste precious personnel and resources in that battle aspect,if you ask us- in the south let us not forget Cameroon beefing security at Fotokol in the east plus the Operations of Niger gendarmes in Diffa region in the west...all these culminating into one massive defeat after another for BH, each defeat leaving the group horribly understaffed and armed thus we see a situation whereby they have to throw or gamble more precious assets into helpless firefight situations to cover their losses and eventually climaxing into another defeat (this vicious cycle goes on and on)....tis no wonder the group has been in disarray and is been swept up from all sides. We have said it before and we will say it again that no rag tag gorilla force how much less an islamist type have ever fought off successfully and defeated simultaneously two soveriegn armies on two fronts since the history of modern mankind.....Military strategists in DHQ must be congratulated for this new battle field philosophy but all credits must go to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and our boys on ground for turning that philosophy into reality, damning the opposition critics and their nonsense....
all credits indeed after millions lost their lives and he waited till election period to score a useless point. what happened to trillions of naira budgeted in the past years to fight Boko Haram, all down the drain and you are singing Jonathan praises. What of the poor soldiers that cried out about not being equipped well to fight Boko Haram, many lives have been lost because some corrupt people used Boko Haram to be billionaires and our clueless president couldn't do anything about it. The blood of all the innocent lives lost are on GEJ. He should just go. We have had enough of his mediocre performance.
