Here2BustnScrew:Assuming you are right that GEJ is working, can you please list what he has done so far and how much he has spent on doing them also tell us how much Nigeria has made since he took over office, and I will decide if he is worthy of my family vote. |

Adanora:All those things you mention that buhari has never done for Nigerian us not his responsibility as a citizen it is Government' s. Go around the world and prove me wrong. Building schools, hospital, recreation centers, constructing roads, bridges all what our governments are boasting of here are seen in the rest of the world as normal things no government can claim as achievement but how Strong their country is against the rest of the world is claimed as achievement, how their citizens are better off is achievement. And you claim buhari never wrote book and so on. On that he he not an academia but a military man and his records are there for all to see. He even has numerous lectures he has delivered at many prestigious gathering. Having said all that it is very interesting to inform you that your self acclaimed academia's work is no where to be found, his book and all. So in your own interest it will be better to keep away from insulting buhari for your own interest and GEJ's because any claim you bring forward will be exposed by a well informed Nigeria even those that are not APC member like myself. God bless Nigeria. |

chernest2002:I am neither an advocate for apc nor pdp. Infact I'm not even a Nigerian but married to one and I also do business in Nigeria that's why I'm interested in its politics. From what I've seen, your country needs a massive change and your president is uninspiring. |

olami234lekan:Have you not heard of philanthropists building schools and giving scholarships to people. Now can I say that 2chainz a chain smoker (smokes the most expensive weed in the world), an American born and alcoholic rapper is better than Buhari and has the interest of the poor at heart compared to Buhari? Just recently, he gave out scholarships to the less privileged in Jamaica and is said to have Nigeria as his next target with one other country I can't recall. As a true leader, you must not lead from the top. Start from the root: 1. Give scholarships. 2. Buy books for primary school pupils. 3. Advice almaijiri's and preach to them the importance of education and help get them of pf the streets since his people greatly listens to him. 4. Establish a small motherless babies home. 5. Go for hospital visitations and foot the bills of the less privileged in hospitals. Etc. Even if he doesn't have money for 1, 2, 4 and 5, and does only number 3 and successfully gets a reasonable number of almajiri out of the streets and into government built schools, we would've celebrated him. You must not lead from the top. Mahatma Ghandi started from bottom till he lead at the top same as Nelson Mandella. |

can someone please define what change is? where will the change start from? charity begins at home ooo....and if charity begins at home that means the change must start from the masses of this great country...young lads keep typing "change" when they cant define it and know where it must start from, God help us all |
| Re: Badnews For Those Shouting Sai Buhari, It Is Over by WisdomFlakes: 10:41am On Mar 18, 2015 |
Stanleyafam:Change can be simply defined as a movement away from Goodluck to Buhari. Goodluck has obviously failed else he won't be struggling so hard to convince more than half of the country to re-elect him. |
| Re: Badnews For Those Shouting Sai Buhari, It Is Over by Here2BustnScrew(op): 10:46am On Mar 18, 2015 |
WisdomFlakes:how has he failed? |
| Re: Badnews For Those Shouting Sai Buhari, It Is Over by WisdomFlakes: 10:50am On Mar 18, 2015 |
Here2BustnScrew:The mere and simple fact that he is struggling and trying so hard to resell his candidacy to more than half the country is a huge indictment. If his performance was so glaring and sterling, Buhari won't even be in contention against him. Even you would have been spared the tough job of trying sell his candidacy here. Admit it bro, GEJ na bad market. ![]() |

Here2BustnScrew:It wasn't even during Abacha's regime. He looted $2.8billion dollars during Obj's military rule and still illegally transferred funds into Abacha's private accounts during Abacha's regime. Modified He would have looted Nigeria madly during his rule but since he castrated and assassinated the press and journalists as a whole during his regime, you would never have found out if he stole or not. The only things you would have been aware of were the ones that couldn't be hidden, which he still sentenced journalists to jail or death for publishing. Cc@Here2BustnScrew |

Here2BustnScrew:That is not a valid argument. Those countries set out a template for democracy and Nigeria should learn from their mistakes and not wait for 200 years. Did you know Nigeria was giving money to countries like the UAE and Singapore in the 70s but those countries are highly developed nations now. Your country has so much money and resources that's not trickling down to the masses. Y'all ought to start holding your politicians and lawmakers accountable for the office they are holding instead of the pdp vs apc warfare we see online. Your politicians are one of the highest paid in the world infact they will make the average politician here in Sweden look like a pauper with the amount they're earning. This is the reason you need to demand more from them. |

IN THIS INTERVIEW, COL. TONY NYIAM, who was part of the failed attempt to oust the Gen. Ibrahim Babangida’s military government in 1990, tells WAHEED BAKARE and ALLWELL OKPI, how the Orkar coup originated and its relevance to Nigerian politics There is the argument that we don’t need to have another conference since we have representatives at the National Assembly. It is the most ignorant assumption. Why do I say it is ignorant? With all the political scientists we have in our midst, people forget that what we are practising is what we call indirect democracy. What do I mean? The proprietary right over people’s sovereignty is delegated to people we elect to make laws for us. When it comes to making constitutional reforms or constitution making, you go to what is called direct democracy. Direct democracy means direct voting by the people in the form of a referendum and that is why the universal practice is that a constitution making process that does not go through a constituent assembly, whose decisions are approved by a referendum, is null and void. We see the examples. Look at South Sudan; it’s creation resulted from a referendum. How is it that Nigerians do not understand that for a constitution to be legitimate, it has to be driven by the people, and the people are usually represented by a constituent assembly? And this constituent assembly is usually made up of non-partisan politicians, because partisan politicians are only concerned with the next election. They are not concerned about posterity or long-term issues in the country. So, constitution which outlives people and a generation should be driven by civil society, collection of every nationality in the country and clerics. I would cite an example. My second home is in Scotland and in Scotland those who drove for the national conference were the clerics of the Church of Scotland, they were at the forefront. We also saw it in Ireland. Britain has the oldest parliament in the world, why are they allowing a constituent assembly to go ahead, while there are parliaments? It is only in Nigeria that such argument is raised because of the ignorance of the difference between direct and indirect democracy. That’s why I have tried to do an aide-memoir to aid constitution- making. There are certain basic principles of constitution-making, which if we do not follow, would be like building a house on quicksand. Do you think we would have been able to tacklethese problems if the June 12 election had not been annulled by Babangida? The thing is, Chief MKO Abiola, who I had the opportunity to work with when he escaped from Nigeria to UK, was a man that we lost because his plan was to correct the national issues and start democracy in Nigeria. But because some western interests in Nigeria did not want this, they colluded to do away with him. You once said soldiers could be recruited for a coup without their knowledge. How is that possible? Yes, there are many instances. You might want to verify this from Gen. Buhari, he was not the initiator of that coup that brought him in as Head of State, it was Gen. Ibrahim Bako and Babangida that initiated it. But because they wanted a credible figure as a face, he was brought in. He did not know the genesis of that coup. He was not quite aware of the original idea behind the coup and that was why when he decided to make a change, he was forced to step aside. So, if this could happen to a whole Gen. Buhari, who was supposedly the leader of a coup, it shows how many soldiers can be brought in that way. Does that mean overthrowing Shagari’s government was IBB’s idea? It was the idea of late Gen. Bako and IBB. Buhari was only brought in because they needed a face with integrity. Can you give other instances? Gen. Yakubu Gowon was not part of the coup that brought him in. He was a decent man. Nigerians like to play what the Yoruba people call bojuboju; they bring a figure with integrity to cover up their real intention; the real intention of politicians in uniform who have found cheap party. Many elements of them are in our partisan politics today. |

mickyeddi:Good, now I understand where you're heading to. We are aware of the shortcomings of the present administration and we also want a change but we don't want a negative change that will mortgage the masses into one man's purse and not only that, it will also leave us at the mercies of a former dictator and an unrepentant tyrant that his words cost a lot of lives when he instigated the 2011 post election violence. |
