- Android 5.0 Lollipop comes with yet another interface design tweak, this time coming with the name "Material Design." The design language builds heavily on some of the interface experimentation Google has done with Google Now, leveraging the "card" metaphor throughout the Lollipop interface. Cards of various colors and sizes appear throughout the system, with different colors and shadows providing a feeling of depth in the interface. Apps can respond to touch with different shadows and ripple effects to make the interface feel as though it is being manipulated directly by users, and bold new colors palettes give apps distinctive personalities. Animations are supposed to reflect user interaction, not just happen at random.

iOS 8.1 ships as standard on the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, and is a free update for all devices that support iOS 8, including the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and previous models.

Continuity features with the Mac require OS X Yosemite.

- Windows Phone 8.1, codenamed ‘Blue’, is the latest update to the Microsoft Windows Phone operating system. It was announced at Microsoft’s Build 2014 conference in April, with new devices like the Lumia 930 arriving later that month.

A Preview for Developers program was also announced at Build, with availability for the general public arriving on April 14th, 2014. It has been estimated that over 1.5 million devices have the 8.1 Preview installed after the first week.

All current Windows Phone 8 devices, including the Lumia 520, qualify to receive the update, which is expected to commence on July 15, though it will vary from carrier to carrier and could span 8 weeks or more.

Nokia devices are also receiving new firmware specific for Lumia phones called 'Lumia Cyan'. This firmware comes packaged with the official Windows Phone 8.1 over-the-air update.

* For me (not being biased) I've come to love the Blackberry 10.3.1 Os. I'm an Online Administrator and also a student.. the OS has made me more efficient than any other OS.. I've owned a Z10, Q10, IPhone 5c, Galaxy S4 and currently using the BlackBerry Z30 and Samsung Galaxy KZoom

Two Feature I find very distinctive about the BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS is the BlackBerry Hub and the Keyboard..

Blackberry Hub handles all my Text, calls, Social Media App (Including Instagram), Email, Instant Messengers all in one place without notice to open any app.. it's Fast, Efficient and Splendid..



The Keyboard with it's predictive text is another thing that attracts me to the BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS.
You can type with confidence of not typing the wrong spellings.. With swipe gestures you can delete text, input predictions and Special characters on the go.. it's pretty amazing ..



Never the less, I didn't say other OS(s) are not good or they ain't attractive or they've not got outstanding features..

But the above mentioned attracted me to the OS more than any other thing..

Some Engineers might charge up to 1.5K depending on it location..

But it's something you can actually handle if you read the tutorials well

. Go to settings and scroll to software updates. (u nid wi-fi tho) Engineers will scam u. Just attempt it. Evvenn if dere is an error it can't do anything

BB10.3 is not an independent os it relies on android.

As for me, there is no big thing in android 5.0. still remain d same. High Data consumption, same UI and so on. Samsung Note 4 am using now is the same with the S4. all this company are using us to make money

I'm not here to brag about how many devices and operating systems I've used nor how many Beta programs I've been working on.. just to get some info and that's all..

Android wins it for me, oh , how lollipop feels so smooth , and droid stayz bossing, I love Android so much, I even run the lollipop on my PC .
