Do not vote for him if you don't want to. Participation in debates have never been a decider of political contests in Nigeria. Obiano performed very poorly in debates last year but he still won. Jonathan dodged all debates in 2011 but still won. If Buhari decides not to participate in debates, so be it. It would have no effect whatsoever on his policies as a president.

The dude has nothing great to say. On top of that, each time he speaks, his tribalistic comments run out like Tap water. APC leaders knew if Bohari gets up in that podium he'll destroy the little save person tactics they doing. To be honest, keeping away from the debate is both a good and a bad strategy on their part.

Have you cared to know his strategy , is a debate like this one not a wonderful medium to communicate with the electorate that he intends to govern? Why are you not bothered that all pro and anti-government media platforms has invited him for a debate and yet he keeps on absconding? Are you not worried about the secrecy beclouding the entire buhari candidacy? What's your take on the negative influence of the likes of tinubu, obj and there foot soldiers to the whole buhari presidential sharrade? I believe young minds like us should approach political issues with high inquisition, research based arguements , intelligence based on information and facts, not heightened gullibility and mere political make believe and motor park chants! God bless us all.

I want to categorically say it here that if buhari does not participate in any debate before the elections, i will not vote for him.

The people organizing and moderating this debate are the very same people who produced and broadcast misleading hit pieces against him in the name of documentaries. They are experts at manufacturing propaganda and they work for GEJ.

Your right, but thats even one plank of the reason GMB abstained. The main reason he gave is that what other points is Jonathan trying to make after 5/ 6 years of his rabble. I thought so deeply about this & I was forced to agree. Besides, the same clueless crunk eloped in 2011 meaning hes gettin a dose of his own pill. So by d foregoing, since this election is all about a Jonathan & Buhari ascendency as d other contestants r inconsequential in d grand scheme of considerations, I think its a smart decision on his part.....no point wasting time, energy & scarce resources on/ with a clueless man.

I don't give a damn, like I said earlier am always after abt good governance. Debate or No debate it doesn't change anything frm me cus av bin following GMB since 2011 and I knw wat he's up to, GEJ didn't show up in 2011 debate and heaven did not fall so y making it look as if is a crime to dodge or miss a debate.. Meanwhile am voting for GMB not Tinubu, OBJ and co

op I understand you I also felt the same when I saw that buhari wasn't present....but u have to understand it's not his fault....The organizers of this debate were the same people that organized a hate documentary about him..what do you think? Fani kayode was there you know the kind of person he is and how his propagandas spreads so fast.....they will be fast at twisting his words and so on...so I think it's good for him..at least he was present in 2011..so don't waste your vote coz of this..

I keep hearing this bullshit. The last time Fayemi was on politics today in channels, he was asked this same thing and he vehemently denied it. The channels presenter didn't push it further.

Bro am quite sure you have seen or read ''48 laws of power''...one of the most powerful law in that book is "SAY LESS THAN NECESSARY". The less you say and appear, the more power you have over ur adversary. With this they have little or nothing to use against you.

Debates doesn't swing votes in Nigeria. It won't start from this Saturday.
In 2011, shekarau even performed better than Buhari in the debate, how many votes went to him?
Instead the fool that was absent but later debated with himself won. Doesn't that suggest to u that debates in Nigeria of today doesn't matter.
His absence from this charade won't stop his emergence. Already the vast majority of voters have made up their minds and a fraudulent question and answer show won't change it.
Onovo obviously performed better than Jonah-daft however I await to see the number of votes that will go to him.
