At d risk of sounding unpatriotic, and inviting insults and undue condemnation, I dare say am not moved by d triumph at d championship.
Firstly, how many times have we won it, and how have we fared at d global level at those times.
Secondly, we miss d aim of setting up such competition-discovering young players and nurturing them to senior team. With all d 'success' we have had at age grade competition, I dare say it has not impactd on our football development.
All we do is pack a group of over-aged men to competitions meant for boys cos we want to win at all cost.
Ask Adokie Aniesamaka, he will xplain beta.
Evn Ghana our fellow cheats have atleast devised a plan to reap of their cheating, bt mind u, it wont last long.
Until we have genuine age-grade players in our teams, even if we dont win d competitions, I refuse to join d bandwagon in celebrating mediocrity.
