This man called Jonathan is really unbelievable!..we are just recovering from Boko Haram and what his MAULAG thinking brain can decide is to give OPC a N9b contract! And tomorrow he will come out and say elections is not a do or die affair.

This issue should not be taken lightly because in the long run we in the SW will be faced with a menace similar to the Niger delta miltants and boko haram.

We sincerely need to probe who is sponsoring boko haram with this. Seems they are developing the next menace (OPC) to be curbed for 2019 elections.

Jonathan deserves praise for giving OPC contract –Gani Adams

The National Coordinator of a Yoruba group, Odua Peoples Congress, Gani Adams, says President Goodluck Jonathan deserves praise from members of the All Progressives Congress for approving a contract for the OPC to protect pipelines across the South-West.

Adams said the contract would provide at least 5,000 jobs for his boys and 10,000 jobs for other youths in the South-West.

He said this while reacting to the allegation by the APC that Jonathan bribed ethnic militias with N9bn to scuttle the elections.

Adams, who came under fire for leading thousands of youths to protest against the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, in Lagos last Monday, said supporting Jonathan was in the interest of the Yoruba nation.

He said the APC should be commending Jonathan for approving contracts for the OPC because only the Niger-Delta militants were benefitting from the oil money before now.

And if you add the potential menace of the FG-funded OPC thugs to the cynical posting of some questionable police and army officers to the SW region to help rig the election for him at all costs, and the unholy alliance between them the dangerously desperate Obanikoro, Bode Goerge, Jimi Agbaje, Fayose, Omisore with the billions of Dollars the FG has been made available to them, then it would be clear to even a dumb mind that GEJ is only interested in getting the SW votes, NOT the peace, progress or well-being of the region.

He has now shown clearly that he can go to any length to try to win the SW votes, even if it means plunging the region, and by extension the whole country, into turmoil.

And he would still want you and me to believe that he is not desperate to continue as president!.

The contract is just a cover to legally fund a terrorist and separatist organization. It makes no logical sense. None at all. I remember the debate over whether NSCDC personnel should carry arms. It was a while before they were authorized to carry arms. Now, the president is funding a separatist organization with no legal backing or training to carry arms to defend pipelines? Are they licensed private security contractors? Has the law changed about arms? He's raising a Boko Haram in the South West and I hope he loses on Saturday and is made to pay for his wickedness.

To perpetuate violence cos OPC are known for making violence.

He supported Boko Haram in the North (through inaction), supporting Militants in the SS, Granting unlimited latitude to separatist Zionists in the SE. Even the ethnic clashes in the MB is unresolved. And now he is funding OPC through Pipeline contracts.

We must vote out Jonathan now we can. Another 4yrs to grow his claws will destroy Nigeria.

Honestly it's really sad and scary. How anyone thinks it's the right decision to empower OPC and not use those funds to further strengthen our security forces is beyond me. They'll use that money to buy top grade weapons. OPC is known defy the police so imagine what will happen when they're well armed. OPC guarded our house/estate about 15 years or more ago when I was growing up and I know the kind of weapons they brought at first, all these old locally made guns. My dad had to give the ones that guarded our house like 3 good guns so that they won't have any problems. What they always talked about was fighting, killing people, etc. They claim its thieves they fight but that was all they talked about. I saw them as a necessary evil because those thieves were on a rampage then and the police was as good as non-existent.

At that time we heard about the battles they had with police from time to time where the police had to tie a red cloth to their guns to counter their "jazz". The only thing that gave me assurance then that they won't overrun the police was the kind of outdated weapons they had then. I always thought they had this ambition to take over the SW and GEJ might have just enabled them. If thugs start taking over the SW, let's just know who made it happen.
