My left eardrum hurts. The pain is like a dull throbbing, though sometimes the pain is so sharp! abeg anybody here with any solution??

Does the pain experienced in your ear also result to high body temperature?

Visit the ENT section of a reputable Govt Teaching Hospital and see a Doctor. Your ear will be examined, probably flushed if wax is found in it and if the pain persists, an appropriate Antibiotic will be prescribed for you.

Many things can cause ear ache and the only way to differentiate is on examination, so take the above advice see an ENT.

Cc. uboma n allycat, I dont know about an ENT but i've just gone 2 my school health centre n they prescribed some drugs 4 me...am hoping they work cause my hearing ability in d ear has reduced

See an ENT specialist before you completely loose ur sense of hearing. Meanwhile, edit d topic of this thread, its 'an ear' not 'a ear'.

ENT simply refers to Ear, Nose and Throat. There's always a department of the ENT in every govt Specialist Hospital in the State.

Please visit one as soon as you can.

i dont think there is any state hospitals in abraka, but i'll try to visit one when i go 2 asaba...thanks

OP please try to visit ENT as soon as you can.

Please stop cleaning your ear with cotton bud I had a pretty bad pain sometime ago.
Now I use olive oil for a few days at bedtime when I think the ear is dirty, it melts any wax present and I am just fine
