Lagos areas of Oshodi, Maryland and Costain are presently in turmoil.

This is as hoodlums, using guns, axes, machetes and other dangerous weapons have taken over the locations.

DAILY POST gathered as early as 6am, the hoodlums had established their presence at Charity Bus Stop.

They had hoods over their heads and attacked those heading to work.

There was chaos as drivers quickly discharged their passengers and fled with some running into themselves.

Shop owners quickly shut down as the thugs have moved further inwards Oshodi, shooting sporadically and attacking people.

Resident say they had been told some days back not to open as there would be a rally they must attend.

Policemen, acting on a tip-off that there would be violence on Thursday had on Wednesday (yesterday) arrested some suspected hoodlums in the area.

Those arrested were reportedly picked up close to the international airport in Mafoluku area.
