Thank God no one was killed. Men of God who are well protected by armed police should not bring political violence upon their members by their utterances. there is no brother, no father, no husband, no wife, no friend and certainly no church membership in politics; Politics is a personal mindset. Where were the men of God when the APC and PDP were making their agreements at the detriment of the hapless electorate?

While I condemn this wicked act,I think is hard time for men of God to be neutral when it come to politics. They are suppose to affect the lives of people with the word of God be it muslim, pegan or christian not involving themselves in politics.

I really feel sad with news like this, because This is the real sentiments of this presidential election. However, some folks down south play the ostrich.

Anyone with a sense of history Know what is happening in the country. Nigerians This election is just too serious and delicate. Do not vote for Boko Haram sympathizers. Do not vote for Buhari. If you do it at this time when these guys up north are not yet sober, It will be dangerous.

Do not Vote Buhari!!!

This is irresponsible journalism! So the two arsonists sat down to explain that they were burning the church because of Oyedepos endorsement of Jonathan or because of their love for Buhari, before they actually burnt it down?
These CAN people are just working for the dollars Jonathan showered oin them. This story is dead on arrival undecided

This is the ''CHANGE'' abi? I Keep wondering why this people are so desperate for power. If they are sure of defeating GEJ, they dont need to make noise, burn properties or embarking on cheap propaganda and imagining untrue situation. It only shows that they know they cant win the election. Buhari is a known perpetual and serial loser.

A re-election bid too costly
If President Jonathan could desperately spend so much money, because of a second term bid, then you can realise how powerful you are! How powerful is your right to vote! Your Permanent Voters card is very powerful! Vote out poverty and black out with your PVCs!
#6~ 7 Billion for Pastors
#50 million each for Obas (20) =1 Billion.
#150 million for OPC and MASSOB
#250 million for Nollywood celebrities and artistes.
#100 million for News agencies e.g (Media Houses)
#2 Billion for other political parties i.e YDM,PDM,APGA,La
bour party&accord party
#200 million for ethnic socio-political groups i.e
Afenifere, Ohaneze ndigbo, northern governor's forum.......
TOTAL: #9.7 Billion
Do you know how many roads this amount would construct
in Nigeria today?
Do you know how many good schools this amount would
have built?
Do you know how many Megawatts of electricity this
amount would have generated?
Do you know how much adequate security this amount
would have provided?
Do you know how many hungry people who live on less
than $1 per day in Nigeria this amount would have fed?
Do you know how much Employment this amount would
have generated?
Yet they bring it to you just so they can
bribe you to vote for them. Had they use the money for the
right things that we can see they wouldn't need to bribe us
to vote for them!

Change is here sai buhari
Oga this your estimate is very off mark. The contract for OPC alone was 9 billion. The total cannot be 9 billion.

Buhari should call his jihad followers to order. No matter what they do it won't stop GEJ from winning.
This has nothing to do with Buhari; it's the general Hausa mentality. An aboki can kill because of Tom Tom.

Acidosis:
This message is directed to all peace loving Nigerians. There is something about that word "Sai-Buhari."

At the shout of that name; all sane Nigerians become insane, blood pressures rise; tentacles grow from the skull; and teeth begin to gnash!

Stay safe Nigerians! Sai Buhari is synonymous to VIOLENCE; wherever & whenever that name is called; what follows is VIOLENCE.

Nairaland was peaceful until we started seeing these words; Lagos was peaceful until "SAI BUHARI"

Do you even know the main activator of the 2011 post election violence? Fellow Nigerians, watch the video on YouTube and tell me what you hear!

We've seen people destroying banners and simultaneously chanting "SAI-BUHARI." That name give them the energy and tenacity to kill, steal and destroy.

"SAI-BUHARI" will result to loss of lives on Saturday, 28th. When you hear that name; grab your voter card and run for your dear life.

Acidosis

Asidioshi,you are a stark hypocrite.

The fact is that Islam or most muslims are allergic to other faiths regardless of whether the people were of the same ethnic group.
The only language of deterent Islam understands is retaliation through violence.
To the contrary, there don't have to be "tension" before most muslims will attack any peaceful loving group living with them.

Sad fact.
how come you are still alive if what you stated is true..I believe you are in Nigeria and Muslims are everywhere..you know what?...its high time you stopped all this rubbish and preach peace among us all..not a senseless post.

IDES OF MARCH.
In themselves, days are days, until events happen and give them the mark of remembrances. Like yesterday, today would seem like tomorrow and the boring series of normalcy would continue. The subject of the news has been constantly depressing; one would think that a pharmaceutical company selling mostly Prozac has decided to sponsor what we now call the news of the day.
Nigeria is on the march again. Only this time, the government has decided to make the punch line make more sense. The reasons for the shift are ludicrous but the history of the Nigerian state supports it. As such, the outrage was minimal as expected. In another 3 weeks, Nigerians will be giving the opportunity to select between an incumbent who is said to be good but incompetent and an ex dictator who everybody wants to trust. There is no better example of an illusion of choice. As a state whose history is a trail of bad blood, suppressed discontent and noise, one honestly hopes that we would get it right. But, can we?
A 5 minute conversation with a voter will depress you. If democracy rests on the belief that those involved in the decision making process are intelligent enough, should there not be a caveat or a slightly adjusted version for countries where the educational system produces graduates that are unemployable? And youths who look forward to the legal drinking age than the voting age? Or worse, youths who prefer to discuss football and music than the Nigerian economy? If a democracy cannot get a people to concentrate and carry out reasonable discuss on the important things, is it still one? How do you reconcile that enormous gap in ignorance? Be that as it may, we still carry on. A good number of some of us are undecided. It is fair to understand why. Let us explain it this way: "on undecided Voters,; to put them in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. "Can I interest you in the chicken"? She asks. "Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it"? To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken was cooked.
Beware the ides of March, a new fool might emerge in April and if you May, acknowledge him. Understand the gaps and allow yourself the excuse to exclude. If you can, enjoy that terrible tyranny of the majority but, by all means, I beg you, choose wisely.
Beware the ides of March, freedom is not that easy to come by, but once in a while, it is caught stranded. Futures are secured by leaders who have the audacity to make laws that make them less powerful. The next president has in his hands, the opportunity to make or mar this nation for good. Are the choices choosy enough? Would the benevolence of fate make room for the placement of good fortune? Do we need leaders who would prefer to incite violence than provoke peace? Are we not tired of the madness?
Beware the ides of March, ask questions, puncture holes and fill them with reasonable discontent. Basic amenities should not be a bench mark for good governance. Any democracy that triumphs in the spreading of distractions is a fickle one. Would you not shawkee for one second and inquire about what happens? What sort of society are you building for your kids? “If you are a part of a society that votes, then do so. There may be no candidates and no measures you want to vote for... but there are certain to be ones you want to vote against. In case of doubt, vote against. By this rule, you will rarely be wrong”.
