A prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State, Yomi Ademola, was in the early hours of Saturday murdered by some unknown gunmen

Residents of the area were woken up with the sound of gunshots at around 4:45 am by the hoodlums who carried out the dastardly act.

It was gathered that the deceased had recently defected to the PDP from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
