The worse part is that the police ain't helping at all,I was there on wednesday looking for the policeman to hear even "sorry" but still the officers there were adamant and choose to play me

I think your mechanic is partly right. Vibrations while driving are usually wheel balancing / tyre related. At least one of your tyres might be warped. Try to replace them one after the other with the spare tyre & test drive to locate the bad tyre & replace. Inspect your brake discs too while at it. Check if they have an even surface.

Will do that after the election, someone told me that the brake caliper is not returning well, I wonder how true this is

I don't think it can be the calipers. One would usually experience very hot wheels after driving + a slightly higher fuel consumption if the calipers are binding .

Come to think of it my fuel consumption slightly increased, ignored it because was thinking the vehicle is old

Has a vulcanizer pumped your tires lately? I had a similiar situation with my Ford where a stopped by a local vulcanizer to pump my aging tires. I then had my car vibrating like mad around 70kmph.

It was when I finally bit the bullet to change my tires that the tire techician told me my vulcanizer had pumped my rubbers to a whooping 50 psi + instead of 32psi as advertised. The vibration disappeared after that.

Yes, last two weeks but the vibration was there even before I did the pumping

Thanks again you rock, went to the vulcanizer today and I did tire rotation, the back ones went to the front and the front to the back then I test drive it, it did not shake nor even vibrate, went as high as 120km nothing nothing, that means that I will have to change the two front ones because they are my weaker tires . Thanks again brothers if you people stay in lagos will love to share a drink with you people

Yes, really serious. One of the tires warped so bad it actually split open on. the road, revealing the metallic mesh......I didnt notice till i washed my car the next day. I replaced it with my spare, which had been also inflated by the same vulcanizer.

The rest is history grin.

Hi @ nobody. Cn u please share with me the contact of the panel beater that fixed your car. My tyres pulled out in motion and the side fender was affected.

If you did proper alignment and wheel balancing and the problem still persist, then check your wheels to be sure it hasn't bent. You could do that by bringing the back wheels to the front to prove the point before you think of replacing them. That is if your thyroid and centre thyroid with bow joint are in order. Cheers
