Anambra Poll Results: Ekwunife Sacks Ngige From Senate, Humbles Victor Umeh by ceo4eva(op): 11:54am On Mar 30, 2015

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. (Mrs.) Uche Ekwunife, has uprooted Dr. Chris Ngige from the Anambra Central senatorial seat, winning last Saturday’s National Assembly election with 101,548 votes.

The official result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed that Ngige, a former governor of the state, came a distant third with 20,850 votes while

National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) National Chairman, Chief (Sir) Victor Umeh, came second with 77,129 votes.

How the mighty falls.

Ngige chose to dwell in past glory. He thought his earlier popularity would swing votes for him. Unfortunately he lost relevance the day he became an APC member. Nothing wrong with APC but it's still a party treated with skepticism by the South East.

Ngige should quietly retire from active politics Cos I doubt he will ever win an election again.

hahahahaha!! APGA is being robbed off their victory in Abia state by PDP. They are only good for "use and dump". As long as Ojukwu is dead,the party is dead along with him.

Honestly Abia is still a shock to me, if apga fails in all SE states, i see obiano defecting and that will sadly mark the end of apga, except if Maku wins Nassarawa grin

I wont be suprised if Obiano dumps APGA! Shame on Victor Umeh( a whole APGA hairman) for losing which was quite obvious! He thought it was like apga he does anyhow

Having been a bench warmer in the senate for the past 4 years, I'm sure It was obvious to him that he was going to lose. However, I hope that his party which he has been loyal and committed to( more than even his people that voted him into power), will compensate him with a ministerial slot, if they eventually win the presidency.
