Enough Is Enough of the Impunity in Lagos With news of the moves to impeach Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, Governor of Lagos State, there is no doubt that the future of our beloved Lagos State is at stake. For the first time since 1999, Lagos is entering the second month of a new year without an approved budget. There are several completed projects awaiting commissioning, and several more ongoing ones that are being slowed down. This petition is by concerned people of Lagos State. The cabals behind the continued harassment and embarrassment of outgoing Governor Ambode need to be opposed, and told enough is enough. This is starting to look like a throwback to the days of President Obasanjo, when unfair and illegal impeachment actions brought Governors down, just because they were not in the good books of their godfathers. This is not about taking sides in the politics of Lagos, or about being a fan of the APC, or about Governor Ambode. It is simply about ensuring any semblance of governance of Lagos State is preserved. When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. The good people of Lagos have had enough. Enough of impunity in Lagos State. Governor Ambode has been denied a chance of reelection, but he should be left to fulfil the promises he has made to the people of Lagos: infrastructure, healthcare, education, housing, environment and jobs. Lagos deserves better. That’s all we are asking for, that’s why we are asking concerned and passionate Lagosians to sign this petition. https://www.change.org/p/lagos-state-house-of-assembly-enough-is-enough-of-the-impunity-in-lagos 42 Likes 5 Shares |

When you hit your enemy and you re scared of his next move then you did not hit him well...makaveli. This is exactly tinubu’s style,I call it tinubu 101. This is the rule of politics that ambode failed to realise,in politics we call this type of people “unfit” Ambode is unfit to be a government not because he didn’t do well but he didn’t play politics like a politician. When they were rumors that ambode has fallen out of favour from tinubu and might not get the ticket,he was expected to fight!.nobody gives you anything in politics for being gentle,he should have created a faction in apc, change the location of apc hq to his prefared location and dismantled the one in ogba under the guise of renovation. Get some loyal people in the assembly, use your commissioners.when those siting on the fence see you are ready to fight they will join you in fighting. See udon, see wike, see Theodore orji they were brought in by strong men.lobby directly to apc bot members and the president not through asiwaju. Even if it becomes clear u might lose the primary ticket in apc,you decamp to pdp.. (pdp as at then was waiting for his next move) Think about this: ambode defeated agbaje with less that 150,000 votes about 800k to 650k. You have your supporters, the non partisan lagosians, the non Yorubas, and the Igbo who will always go the opposite direction of buhari will vote for you, then u will have a chance of wining the election and even if the apc will want to impeach you, your party will speak out for you ..... But no he didn’t do that, even those that are angry that wanted to fight for him ,he shouted then down. A commissioner couldn’t take his cowardice and resign castigating apc leadership in a letter. Last bullet: ambode is lilylivered and should be humiliated. 277 Likes 29 Shares

It's time we tell those people in the house that they are not there for themselves to be behaving how they like, they are representing us. In short Buhari osibanjo and oshimole is afraid of tinubu SIMPLE 4 Likes |

Serves him right. Sadly, there are no good men in Nigerian politics. Ambode saw the hand writing on the wall and failed to make a move. One day, Tinubu will try to buy the entire Lagos State and fail badly. "There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed" Nigeria is in bad shape right now. 43 Likes |

Denying Ambode a second term may affect APC at the polls. So many factions here and there. No wonder Agbaje bought his nomination form two weeks before the deadline. Tinubu should just be careful sha 12 Likes 1 Share |

There is a quote that say " a house build on lies will not last" what we are seeing in Lagos is truth chasing lies, theft and corruption that the so called tinubu and Lagos elite have held Lagos down for 20 years the kind of revenue lagos generate Lagos shouldnt be compare to any other state in Nigeria but other mega cites on Africa . I pray it happen so that ambode will expose them I pray it happens so the truth will finally come out in as much as I pity ambode a little this politician atimes don't deserve sympathy I know ambode have learnt his lesson 15 Likes
