Are you for real?
All they need is a two third majority and last I checked 19 members are more than enough to see the process through... Wake up man, reality stares you in the face cos we've moved from the era where 16 is greater than 19.

Fayose will learn the hard way.

He should have saved all those millions he wasted on propaganda for his retirement funds.

Fayose will prostrate before Buhari BUT the law courts will have the last say.

He does not have the monopoly of madness

Stand up now. An election rigger!

Why impeach him,for what reason ?.
The main reason is his role in the current crisis in the House of Assembly but if his hands are clean he should clear his name. The Constitution says gross misconduct but does not define it and that leaves it to the HOA. If the HOA say it is gross misconduct it is gross misconduct simple

Fayose runs himself into this mess. Power is too short for man to think that he will remain in power for ever.
When he sent the majority members of the house to wilderness, he didn't recognise that the day of recons will come as quickly as this.
Ayo Fayose has trampled on the law of Nigeria. It's now time for the law of Nigeria to fight back.
One thing that we must all agree on in this Fayose saga is for the law to take it's due course so that the likes of Fayose!s should know that power is not a ticket for hooliganism.
FAYOSE BASTARDISED THE VALUE OF AN EKITI MAN.
FAYOSE OVERSTEPPED HIS BOUNDARY.
FAYOSE MESS UP THE GOVERNORSHIP SIT OF EKITI.
FAYOSE REFUSED TO LEARN FROM HIS MISTAKES.
FAYOSE MUST BE PUNISHED TO SHOW THAT NO MATTER HOW YOU FIND YOUR SELF, YOU MUST ALLOW THE SYSTEM TO RUN ACCORDING TO THE LAY DOWN RULES.

With the grammar you displayed here, you have no right to ask ANYBODY for any kind of certificate!

Even though am not a Fatone fan, I don't understand how this present set of legislators can impeach him if elections is going to usher in new legislators on Saturday. Instead let them work on getting reelected first.

The 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers in Ekiti State House of Assembly have said there is no going back on the impeachment notice issued against Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The embattled Speaker, Dr Adewale Omirin, said the governor cannot run away from the process because the impeachment notice served on him was a constitutional matter and contained serious issues of the law.

He said instead of staying in hiding to evade justice, it is better to live with the reality that the rule of law has come to stay in the country.

He said this while reacting to media reports credited to the factional Speaker, Dele Olugbemi, and ‎the governor’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, dismissing the impeachment notice as a joke.

Omirin in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Wole Olujobi, said the move was to rescue democracy‎ from the gridlock of executive lawlessness and impunity into which the state had been driven by the governor.

He said, “It will soon dawn on Fayose and his aides that the matter at hand goes beyond exuberant media skirmishes that are being deployed to rally support for the governor.

“Attention of the world has shifted to Ekiti State following the leaked tape detailing electoral fraud perpetrated to give Fayose victory. After that, several issues in Ekiti State are being questioned on the place of the constitution in nurturing democracy in the country, and as responsible citizens, we must act right to make democracy work.”

Omirin said all allegations raised in the impeachment notice were constitutional matters, to which the governor must be rea‎dy to produce answers instead of “belligerent attitude” in the media in addressing serious issue of constitutional significance.‎

Advising the governor to respond to the allegations against him, he said running away from the Government House and using his aides to cover his track would not help him in defending his assault on the nation’s constitution and other infractions against the constitution that were already established against him in courts.

“It is good that his men are talking in the media about the need to uphold the constitution in this matter even though they behave short of upholding the constitution in their conduct.

“Even though the governor trampled on the same constitution when he led thugs to attack judges in court and tore court records in the Chief Judge’s office, our duty is to follow constitutional path in this impeachment process.

“These men that are flying the governor’s banner will soon see the law in action. This impeachment process is real. We must rescue Ekiti State from lawlessness and fraud. The N1.3 billion poultry project fraud case is still in court. There are still cases of unresolved murders.

“We have again seen the resumption of state-sponsored terrorism with thugs attacking and maiming Ekiti people‎ after a break in 2006 when the governor was impeached for fraud and attacks on opponents.

“We thought his impeachment trauma in 2006 would have thought him a lesson, but the governor has proved that he cannot survive in a society where the law works. We advise him to come out of hiding and defend himself because we are prepared to give him a fair hearing. That is the reality he must face instead of downplaying se‎rious matter of constitutional consequences,” the Speaker added.

Hmm, this is why being a Nigerian is so disgusting atime. Is this the democracy APC is crying for? What has Fayose done wrong cos I don't see anything wrong in his actions. I pity the people of Ekiti State if they allow political strife to prevail cos all these nuisance lawmakers that are on personal vendatta mission cos their party is now at the center makes no sense at.

Fayose shouldn't be denied his democratic rights. He earned that place and all because, Fayemi now is now about to get a federal appointment shouldn't translate into making Fayose's State ungovernable.

Nigerians, this man has hasn't done anything wrong. This same Fayose campaign for APC against Obasanjo choice in 2011 and Fayemi won. Now, they want to politically haunt him for switching allergiance.

APC, they destroy people who don't agree to their methods. They impose whatever if they in capacity. Anarchy runs in their blood. Is this the change Nigerians yearns for?

You may not like the man, but he is no coward. You can say whatever or call him names but would you watch and tolerate APC play foul or abuse power cos they have it on their side? How then are different from the party Nigerians voted out.

There is no time Nigeria won't go into war with all these nonsense....
