Like seriously? Did the oba really make these statements? While we are congratulating ourselves for peaceful presidential elections, here is a revered oba making statements that can stoke the fire of violence. Has he forgotten where the wild wild west era led to? He should understand that just cos a jonathan conceded defeat doesnt mean those with itchy hands to destroy the country have been calmed but are only looking for the slightest opportunity to unleash mayhem that could lead to war in which the west wont be spared like during the biafran war. He should publicly denounce these statements publicly if he knows what is good for him

Before my Ibo brothers begin to abuse the Oba of Lagos, I want them to answer these question:

Can any Yoruba man go to Anambra,Enugu, Abia, IMO or Ebonyi to contest for elections?

Or, can anyone from Yoruba land go to these states to claim ownership of Land or tell an Ibo man that his land is a no mans Land?

the fact that the South west accommodates everyone should not be taken for weakness.

There should be some Cheacks and balances in all you do. You don't come to a mans house and tell him how to run his home.

If you must vote for a candidate,

These Yorubas have goooooood leaders.
How can somebody leave his land to come and select your leader for you?
Big Ups to the Oba.
Lagos has been lead by an opposition party for too long. Now there is a golden opportunity and some people from another land are trying to stop it? That's not fair. I just hope they won't report him to ICC

Democracy. That's what permits them to choose a leader in lagos state. Don't forget they are citizens of lagos state and it doesn't have to do with your approval or the Oba's approval. It is the constitution of Nigeria. If you don't know, get some education. The same democracy that permitted your fulani kin to be campaigned for by the Yoruba's, Okorocha and co.
The same democracy that allowed you to express yourself in a manner that speaks -ve volumes about you.
Just for the record, the two colored Oba and a whole lot of you folks that reason in reverse should know that governorship of any state is an electable seat and not a monarch kinda rule.
The two coloured Oba can't even kill a fly with his curse so he should better think of how to refund Ambode's money incase he looses. grin grin
Finally, without the Igbo's, Lagos is NOTHING economically just like without the Igbo's, the north is NOTING economically.

Shut up Collins, you should try to make use of your brain if you have one, an Oba can never say those rubbish. This is the quote from Thisday:

This post is another lie originated by the PDP. It even resembles something perpetuated by FFK. The only thing PDP is good at is lying and destroying lives. You people would be wise to disregard such an unintelligent article.

As if such a news like this, of this magnitude were to be true, it would make the pages of national dailies and television news. AND HAS IT? NO IT HASN'T. WHY?? BECAUSE IT IS FALSE.

Please my people join me as we kick out such maliciousness out of our country.

The Igbo's are a buncha thoughtless and senseless pack. Trying to talk sense into them will make no sense as this has always yielded no effort in the past. Coercion and violence is the language that activates their senses and the Obas message is appropriate, necessary and timely.

violence will work against the yorubas, because if the igbos who have more to lose stands and fights, yoruba will lose Lagos forever.

I think people bestowed with authority should learn to watch what they utter..

You don't threaten a people who have consistently been on the receiving end of the scam called one Nigeria.

They have lost loved ones, investments and more..

Statements like this is the reason why this country finds it hard to be truly united.

It is their mandate and it would have been more honourable to solicit their cooperation than to dare them.

Is that how APC want to rule the entire nation? I hope not

Someone pls sell that bigot of an Oba a quality mouthwash cos this stinks badly!

Dear Oba,
Thank you sir, you have spoken well, and lagosians knows you have, and the big truth is that we aint going back on our opinion, and the best opinion now is (APC), no APC no party in lagos.am sure our lagosians are more educated than being fooled with spoken words, we need action, if we look at the history of our Dear Ambode, we will see he had so manu challenges while growing up and someone that had challenges but never gave up, never listened to what people were saying, I think this is the kind of man we need right now, someone that will make a good discision for lagos and won't go back on his words, we need a competent man, a qualified man for this race and now I can boldly say my people
Weather Lagosians like it or not, Me SHEWENZY, I will be VOTING FOR AKINWUNMI AMBODE FOR GOVERNOR OF LAGOS STATE, am not going back on my word, alll those of you supporting Jimi, I won't say I pity you, but you usself you know you are on the wrong side.....

A word is enough for the wise, shine your eyes shocked
If you know you are wise, adhere to my words by voting Akinwunmi Ambode this saturday the 11th of April 2015 and you will see a better lagos

Ambode is ready!!!!

The Oba is a mere mortal who may or may not be versed in mortal combat. Tax-paying residents of Lagos reserve the right to vote for the candidate of their choice, without a deranged fellow threatening fire and brimstone.

In fact, I won't be surprised if he becomes a guest of the DSS soon.

Well, in Yoruba culture - Kings are immortal. They represent the gods.

Anyway, was the psychotic Igbo leader who had a lot of unpleasant things to say about Yorubas and Awolowo, during the last Anambra election, with GEJ sitting there, arrested for what he said? Since he wasn't arrested - leave the King alone. He's just returning the favour, and anything goes in the animal kingdom.

You lot need to thread with caution. You're not the only other Nigerian ethnic groups represented in the Lagos, but your innate greed and covetousness will end up as your Achilles heel. No matter how crude/uncivilised the message/messenger might sound, it tells a lot beyond the surface. This shows Yorubas are actually watching the Igbos carefully, and a lot of them have had enough - and one madness might trigger something that will consume everyone. Say NO to violence and learn how to co-exist peacefully with your hosts.

Moreover, how come Igbos are always liberal whenever they're outside their enclaves. However, in ya region - it's all about all kinds of clannishness? An Ebonyi person can't work in Imo's civil service. Abia not comfortable with other Igbos in its civil service. Anambra feeling superior to other Igbos. Ngwas not selling lands to other Igbos etc.,? I think charity must begin at home, don't you think?

all of you are supporting violene because it is a king that says that harsh words, you people want partial change and not a total one.fighting should continue once it is your king that is doing it..
but why are we like this,we preach peace but our actions negates that..

you are to pray for a man after God's own heart and not just judging facially.

Then please tell your oba to stop threatening the Igbos.. if the Yorubas want peace. Then peace the will get.
