I feel so disappointed for the threat towards the Igbos from a supposed renowned Royal father. His ancestors has told him Lagos belong to Agbaje and now he's afraid of loosing the election. He's a disgrace to Traditional rulers in Nigeria. I didn't even know his name not until today cos he's irrelevant. People hear Obas like Oba of Benin, Ooni of Ife, Sultan of Sokoto Olu of warri. These are true Royal fathers that don't mix tradition with politics. Hell will not break loose if Agbaje wins Lagos weather he likes it or not.

Why is it hard for some of you to understand that Lagos is a cosmopolitan city, therefore some of those tribalistic rules can't apply. Non-indigenes in Lagos are a major reason for the massive population and economic advancement of Lagos, so you cannot rule them out in Lagos politics.
Lagos is not like the typical Yoruba states like Oyo, Ogun, Osun etc. No Igbo man has a say in the politics of those other states, just like it will be hard for any Yoruba man to have a say in the politics of south eastern states.

Lagos has been very peaceful. Yorubas have been very peaceful. There is a limit to their peaceful nature. I do not want to see them change cus it won't favour anybody. Nevertheless, all this religious and traditional figures are not supposed to partake in politics. They are meant to be neutral. Anyway, I hope everything ends well!

A city doesn't get named as a cosmopolitan city. It becomes it, by virtue of it's advancement and development.
Lagos is becoming very much like US, so if a black man can be American president, then an Igbo man can equally become Lagos state governor. grin

d people of lagos ar very hospitable but when would d igbo realize dat it would be dangerous to take dem foregranted?. d domineering posture of ndigbo as exemplified in eediotic comments like dis on & off dis forum wit some even referring to lagos as as a no-man's land is probably d greatest challenge of ndigbo nationwide - d thirst 4 dominance & lack of respect 4 d host community. See as the Oba lashed out at their so called Eze ndigbos like spoilt brats in need of some serious canning... Some of them were even clapping out of fear of what will befall them. Looooool... I thought they said they are fearless and also own Lagos.... Bunch of unserious empty flat heads preparing to betray their host.

On serious note... Oba shouldn't have taken it too far... The threat they portend is not as serious... The ripples this might cause may not help Ambode... I was tweaking my yansh while I listen.. .not so comfortable.
