The Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State has called for the immediate
suspension of the Oba of Lagos, HRM Rilwan Akiolu, till after the
governorship and state House of Assembly
elections in the state. The party, which tasked Governor
Babatunde Fashola to effect the suspension of the first-class monarch, said it was necessary in order to
guarantee free, fair and credible elections in the state on Saturday. Disclosing this in a
statement issued on
Tuesday by the Lagos PDP Publicity
Secretary, Mr. Taofik
Gani, the party noted that it had also alerted the security agencies to hold the monarch
responsible for any
attack on non-indigenes or PDP members in the state. PDP, which is the major
opposition party in the state, regretted the silence of Governor Fashola on the matter more than 48 hours after the inflammatory
statement and threat to life were made, stressing that it suggests that the
monarch acted on behalf of the state
government. According to the
statement, “The
governor is thus a
conspirator in this
threat to life and must also be held accountable for any
violence in these
elections. We have
been vindicated about the desperation of the APC to retain Lagos State at all cost, including the All
Progressives Congress’ plan not to concede its imminent defeat on April 11. “The positions of the
PDP are coming on the heels of the now viral threat issued by the Oba of Lagos to Igbos that they must vote for the APC Governorship
Candidate, Akinwunmi

When I said in one of the earlier threads that pdp are the main instigators of bigotry and hate in nigeria with the ibo people as their pawn, some sentimental persons were shouting up and down the place.

They tried it with Gej, it didn't work. But instead of relenting, they r back in full force in lagos with the same tactics. F.oolishness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

The people I pity the most are the ibos, as they have allowed themselves to be used endlessly by the same set of people that don't give a hoot about them.

Sorry to burst your bubble pdps, Oba Akiolu will not be suspended and Ambode will win the guber election in Lagos.
