probably because it might compromise his anonymity on NL, his real name is there on the show including a brief bio of him. besides, the contestants might be restrained from soliciting for votes from anywhere other than the show. these are just my thoughts anyway but I also wondered why the dude didn't come and ask on NL, he is quite popular here and would get a lot of votes.
