Eko Atlantic Lays Road Surface for Major City Bridge

The developers of Eko Atlantic have achieved another important landmark by casting in concrete and putting into position the road surface or decking for Bridge 7 on Avenue 1 in the new city.

Bridge 7, as it is currently referred to in the Master Plan, is the first out of a total of 10 bridge locations in Phase 1 & 2 of the project and has now reached the most advanced stage of all of them.

The bridge is located immediately to the west of the Central Business District and in total is 6 lanes wide (3 lanes in each direction).

Post real pic and not graphic pic, moreover why do u want me to support it when i know i won't benefit from it?.

I also don't think the project can be stop, since we have a lot of investors who have sink in their money to make it work....

They will not allow their work to be in vein.
haven't u seen the real pictures they have been posting? you will benefit from it one way or the other because when it becomes a place of tourism, it will definitely boost our economy. And it will be a pride for your nation

You didn't make it so, the British made it so, the moment they amalgamated SW aka Lagos colony with the protectorate of southern Nigeria aka SS/SE in 1906, and moved the capital of the protectorate of Southern Nigeria from Calabar to Lagos, and from then on went ahead to develop Lagos using our collective resources, we were forced to shift from Calabar to Lagos, if we were to stay closer to the government.
https://www.nairaland.com/1019602/dont-blame-1914-amalgamation-rather

Ibadan was the Capital of Yoruba nation and SW, it was built solely from the wealth gotten from Yorubaland and by Yorubas alone, and it is evident that it doesn't look like Lagos neither are any other Nigerian group interested in Ibadan.

In summary, you didn't make Lagos attractive to Ndiigbo, the British act of almagmation in 1906 did.
Ok go back and re-read in the context I wrote it. I said we keep making it attractive. We're taking about Eko Atlantic in this thread. Whatever the British did back then is not what is making them develop Eko Atlantic. The truth is no matter how Igbos try to stay away from Lagos they won't be able to resist being a part of this initiative which was proposed by two Yoruba men.. Fashola and Tinubu, like it or not.
Re: Our Lagos Eko Atlantic (graphic View by omonnakoda:
The British did not develop Lagos with British money. In 1896 there were street lights and a telephone exchange and a trainline in Lagos. Did this come about by a net transfer of Funds from elsewhere in the British empire? The answer is a RESOUNDING NO. The money came from , yes you guessed right, Lagos

Lagos's main value to the British and its main value to this day is it provides the easiest and cheapest coastal access to Nigeria.Travel the west African coast from Ghana to Nigeria they are at the same latitude and quite similar after Lagos our coast line takes a sharp southward turn and the terrain changes to mangrove swamp hostile to large vessels. The cheapest way then to trade with Nigeria was through Lagos Not through Ogun ,Ondo,Delta ,Bayelsa Akwa
Ibom Rivers or Cross River
Rather than sounding off about how the British developed Lagos and moved their capital there the question should be WHY DID THEY DO THIS.
Why did the British not develop Calabar or Aba or Mbaise? But Why?
Why do we put food in the mouth and not the anus??
In 1896 Lagos had an official balance of trade with the UK of about £200 000 which in today's money is about £20 million. At the Time the population was 38000.

Dude you call people morons without knowing what you're saying. The idea came from Tinubu to build a wall to prevent flooding, then it was Fashola that came up with the idea of building a city. It could have been a private company that advised them in how to go about it but the idea came from those two great visionaries, take it or leave it.

Why use govt money when some private companies are willing and able to carry it out effectively and successfully

They're a development company. They're the ones developing it but it was a LASG idea borne out of solving the flooding problems. Those "Lebanese" brothers won't have been able to do it without the vision of the LASG
