I love GEJ but after the March 28 elections, he has Seems to have gone into hiding. A general does not abandoned the war front just because he lost a battle. As PDP leader, he should stand up and mobilize support for his party especially in the South. I for one would be disappointed if GEJ does not campaign for Jimi Agbaje anytime this week and for Wike in Rivers and in Plateau. The States where he won are places where PDP has stronghold but with his silence, PDP supporters would become de-motivated as their leader is in seclusion. When a general loses a battle, he does not abdicate his responsibility on the war. Whoever has access to GEJ should ask him to come out and proudly campaign for JK in Lagos, Wike in Rivers, Okowa in Delta. PDP as a big party should move beyond the loss on March 28 and forge ahead. This is my take. |

Don't you people understand that GEJ is just the presidential candidate of the PDP and not the PDP chairman? Besides why should he run to the help of these people when he has been his own issues in front of him? Top being Buhari's probe of his administration |

efilefun:I won't doubt this assertion. It is like a way of paying back pdp governors and party stalwarts that betrayed him . It is worthy to note that gej could have won the election easily if pdp strong party members had done their job right. But since they abandoned him ,he too has abandoned them now . |

If the man whose incompetence just destroyed PDP, is the best available to lead then the worst is yet to hit PDP. He failed when he had CBN, NNPC and Authority, is it now he has nothing and is struggling to stay out of jail that he will lead PDP to paradise? |

Jonathan don't have leadership qualities,a leader can decide on his own not the one people around him will be pushing here and there. |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by kheart(m): 8:02am On Apr 08, 2015 |
Jonathan is a novice and PDP is just too big for people of his calibre to lead. |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by onatisi(m): 8:10am On Apr 08, 2015 |
egift:bros , believe me ,if the president campaigns for his party it will serve as a morale booster for his party members. But it seems Gej has simply lost interest in the whole thing and system and doesn't want to interfere. |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by ziccoit: 8:17am On Apr 08, 2015 |
Irony, you are asking GEJ to lead the same party he singlehandedly destroyed. It seems you don't want to see PDP ashes anywhere around anymore. |

onatisi:It is not a matter of interference, rather nobody want to associate with a failure. In politics it is a very bad omen and investment. |

Gej is a failure. He wants everyone to drown with him. He has been rejected and he is ashamed to meet the people that rejected him. Dumbassz GEJ. Thief!!! |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by onatisi(m): 8:50am On Apr 08, 2015 |
egift:there are words and statements he can make and give that will encourage his party members and followers. He simply just doesn't want to. Maybe in the last meeting he had with buhari he had agreed not to campaign for his party again. |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by PAT4HOT(m): 9:18am On Apr 08, 2015 |
Do u think all those canpaign goes without stashing some dollars to the people that be. GEJ is trying to balance his sheet for a successful transition and you want him to go and spend more money. The guy is no more clueless as he was 5.99 years ago. |

eleko1:The Tout is Ameachi. Wike is a gentle man to the core. calm, correct and responsible guy unlike Ameachi that's shouting all about spreading lies and fronting his boy Dakuku for governorship , trying to force him down the peoples throat. Its no by force and Ameachi should understand that. This is democracy.!! |

If I were Agbaje or Wike, i won't allow GEJ near my campaign. What motivation can a defeated general bring to the campaign?. People like David mark, Akpabio and Muazu who remains undefeated should be sent by GEJ , they will do a better job to motivate the PDP. Defeat comes with serious meltdown and this is one of them. |

Tvegas:I totally agree with this post. But he can still be talking and letting ppl know that pdp isn't dead.even nairaland politics section is in deep slumber without pdp threads . The whole thing isn't exciting anymore |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by Gbawe: 9:41am On Apr 08, 2015 |
onatisi:Keep fooling yourself. It seems like you thrive on deceiving yourself. It is clear Nigerians rejected Jonathan in their majority. He lost by close to 3 million votes and this would probably be over 5 million if not for the mago-mago in the SE and SS most notoriously Rivers, Delta , Akwa Ibom et al. Don't repeat your delusional rubbish again. GEJ could not have won the elections regardless of what any PDP leader did or did not do for him . Talking as you do, even if I knew it already, reveals to the forum that you are no democrat since you do not understand that elections remain about the will of the people above everything else. |

onatisi:Bros am impressed you can be this gentle with words. I remember the "gej till 2019" days and the collation activities where you kept postulating from Ghana. We kept telling you the realities on ground but you didnt listen. Remembering your words really make me laugh. Chop knuckle bros. ![]() |

@Topic. GEJ cannot lead anyone because he is not a leader himself. He is an 'accident' who stumbled into the Presidency. I said it here that GEJ would be the last accidental President Nigeria would have and I have being proven right. The days of OBJ et al imposing dull and unknown 'mumus' on Nigerians is over . Now it is political gladiators and leaders who really want it who will gain the Presidency after besting others on the field of battle. Those asking GEJ to now stand tall to lead the PDP simply do not understand that GEJ is a very simple and small-minded individual who is entirely about his own ambition and nothing else. In fact after May 29th not much will be heard of GEJ again. He will simply become another Odili by retiring to the background to spend his loot. The PDP will have to look, if any remain, towards its strong and sagacious characters to lead what will be a very difficult rebuilding period for the Party where it went from the ruling Party of Nigeria, with majority in all legislative houses, to an opposition Party with no majority in any legislative house and in control of far fewer Nigerian States than was the case when the Party was at the heights of its power. In fact, I think the PDP is now effectively a regional Party strong only in the SE and SS. This will never be enough to relaunch it towards the centre or towards political relevance and might. https://www.nairaland.com/1302601/jonathan-misses-speaking-slot-au Gbawe: |

Tvegas: ;Don't mind him ojare. These unintelligent Jonathanians are only stubborn and nothing else. Have you noticed that, till now, they cannot even be humble and admit they were ignorant? This Onatisi joker is still telling us Jonathan could have won if this person did this or someone else did that. What a joke. Even with monumental rigging Nigerians still cast enough votes to get what they want which is the removal of GEJ and the enthronement of Buhari. Anyway, it is only Buhari we know. No time for jokers and the worshippers of a dull and colourless man who will soon disappear from Nigerian memory. By September 2015 it will be "Jonathan who?" because most Nigerians will no longer remember him while some deliberately prefer to forget him. |

Tvegas:u see in politics, before elections u can be anything but I have always refrained from abusing or insulting ppl . I always make my position and opinions loud and clear which most times becomes irritating to opposition members and supporters but once elections are over and the people have decided .we are all one nigeria. Like I said and keep saying ,there is no apc nigeria and there is no pdp nigeria all we have is one nigeria . |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by WisdomFlakes: 10:04am On Apr 08, 2015 |
onatisi:I agree. I don't think he's currently too happy with some of his party's influential men, especially the governors. I believe to an extent he was sabotaged. His current relative silence is not golden at all. |

Gbawe:Senior Gbawe, please I just want to use this opportunity to beg you with all the sincerity in my heart not to leave Nairaland. Folks like me learn much daily from you and as a matter of fact, I only come here always to read your comments and your opinions and to God be the glory, you have never disappointed me. There are few like you here who I learn from but I will always be your no1 invicible student on Nairaland. Please together with Berem, don't leave Nairaland. Thanks in advance for your consideration over my plea. God bless you always |
| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by Gbawe: 11:58am On Apr 08, 2015 |
Mesico2:Thank you very much for your kind words. I simply say it as it is as someone only interested in the progress of Nigeria and self-made to the extent I don't need anything from anyone and will therefore never need to compromise myself, my principles and dedication to Nigeria gaining good leadership that will transform our Country and make her great. I had said before the election that I would leave once Buhari wins but I will revise that opinion now because some of you have shown me that the job is not done. We must keep the incoming government on their feet. Nigeria has turned the corner and we expect great things from the Buhari Government otherwise we will begin speaking up for what we want to see. For me, it is about Nigeria always. |

| Re: Jonathan Should Stand Tall And Lead PDP by Gbawe: 12:12pm On Apr 08, 2015 |
PassingShot:Indeed. Remember the adage "Leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders". We all know, to include GEJ's biggest fan, that this can never apply to GEJ yet the adage above fits Tinubu and Buhari like a glove. GEJ is going the way of Odili after May 29th. He will even pretend he is not home if any PDP politicians comes to knock on his door after May 29th which is unlikely anyway since they know his deficiencies to understand it is best not to look towards GEJ for man-management and leadership. |
