What Do You Think Of The Oba Of Lagos' Anti-igbo Statement? by danieljune(op): 9:58am On Apr 08, 2015
On Sunday, April 5, 2015, the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, caused a stir with his statement that the Igbos in the state should either vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, or prepare to perish in the Lagoon.

I see it as a challenge to the Igbos to copy the Hospitality of the Yorubas n Apply it in their states too

I think the matter should be allowed to rest. The oba himself has acted foolishly and everyone knows what stuff he is made of.

U dont allow a pig to drag u to the mud. People wont be able to tell the diff betweenbu and the pig.

Nothing.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

I hold no grudge against the Oba.

Correction: The Oba's speech is not " anti-igbo. It is more of an expression of anger towards the igbos over the perceived opposition of a majority of the igbo community in Lagos to his preferred candidate.

An anti-igbo speech will contain expressions like "hate", "igbos are bad", "igbos are unwanted" etc.

It was an unguarded unfortunate statement non the less.
