As much as I love Pellegrini as a manager, his tactics baffle me. We are playing a Manchester United side who likes to keep the ball well and he plays a runner like Milner in midfield. That won't work. He should have gone with a Fernando, Fernandinho, Yaya Midfield combination. Yaya and Fernando will intercept the passes while Fernandinho does the running and tackling. From the Barca game, it was clear a possessive passing side flourishes against a running team. We need to bring in Fernando to stop Fellaini's strength and aerial prowess. |

vickerz: Luke Shaw was not a Van Gaal buy. Coaches like Van Gaal needs Wong backs that offer more than running and crossing. Players like Dani Alves, Alba, Alaba, Lahm etc offer more in midfield play. That is why you see coaches switch them to play as midfielders in some game. Luke Shaw seems he is ready to learn. He should be judged after next season. As I said, they are learning the system. I think Rojo's injury affected him. |
