I sincerely thank God that Nairaland has looked into the very distasteful and hateful comments by Nairalanders here. Sad that the youth of this generation have never truly understood or grasped the power of social media as a platform to express one's feelings. yes we're entitled to our beliefs, ideologies and opinions does not mean you should force it down someone's throat or that it will matter. Its frightening to think that we the leaders of this country have such distrust for each other. America has the Democrats who appeal to much broader demographic of americans especially blacks and latinos and the republicans are conservatives who have a strong base in the south of the US (with my own little knowledge sha...you can correct me). What many people do not know is that Lagos state governorship election was also rigged. Despite the noticeable poor voters turn out in the election, yet the total number of voters in the said election was put at a million plus.

Is it that invisible marine spirit from the lagoon also queued up and voted during the election in Lagos state? Am surprised that people are not raising eyebrow.

Now to Rivers state, Amaechi has never won any free and fair election in his life before. As the law maker and speaker of the RSHA, it was Odili that did the abracadabra that saw to his victory at the tribunal and his eventual emergence as the speaker.

Even in the 2011 election, it was the same Wike that did the magic for Amaechi as the DG of Amaechi campaign organization. Amaechi has been a beneficiary of PDP rigging machine through out his political life and therefore lack the locus standi to question the validity of last saturday governorship election.

the reason why APC states are owing there workers is because Federal have stopped paying there allocation for a year now so dt they wont have enough money to sponsor their election ambition. the longest flyover in west Africa has just been completed in kano piloting by APC, the only govt in SE doing free education, paying students stipend is imo state piloting by APC.. i am presently in SE.. av been to ebonyi state, abia, cross river, benue..i cried within me dt ths states r far behind development.... 16 yrs of pdp no development.. arent you tired of pdp? visit SW nd see development, we held election in SW no crisis, no wahala unlike SE/SS, ds is anoda sign of development..

International observers, quite unbiased, concluded that the election was mostly fair with the except of MASSIVE PDP rigging in Rivers. Even this rather stupid effort (River was always going to be won by PDPD anyway) did little to derail an otherwise fair process. The Nigerian people have expressed their democratic will (for better or worse).

It is hard for the losers as unlike countries where democracy is better developed they are unused to the idea of governments coming and going. PDP had 16 years. They did some good things and failed in others. In four years time APC will be judged on their own achievements or lack thereof. PDP will again be judged on having formed an effective opposition who fought for the average Nigerian rather than simply sat around crying because the lost fair and square and trying to wreck everything no matter the coast to the man in the street.

Guess what? That is democracy. Governments come and go all the all the time.

What do you know about the Igbos? The Igbos are simply not interested in the conspiratorial politics recently played out by the Yoruba and Hausa against the only chance Niger delta has to rule this nation for their own 8 years. The picture was clearly on the wall, it was all arranged to return power to the north and thereafter 8 years the SW takes over. The Igbos know it and they don't want to be involved, that is why they stayed on their own. It's obvious by your write up that you don't know nothing about the structure of Nigeria and how dearly we need a political stability. 1960: The Eastern Party NCNC teamed up with the Northern party to form the Central government.
1963: The Eastern Party NCNC teamed up with the Northern party to form the Central government.
1979: The Eastern party NPP, teamed up with NPN to form the central government.
1983: The Eastern party NPP, teamed up with NPN to form the central government.
1999: The East and North voted massively for PDP.
2007: The East and North voted massively for PDP.


Why then do you think it is now conspiracy for the SW to vote along or team up with the North? Is it only conspiratorial when others do it except you? Or is it only conspiratorial when you lose out in the balance of power?
