My only fear which I hope he will conquer by his principled nature is the role played by Tompolo in his emergence in the primaries, nominating a deputy for him and in the general elections. As for the cabal am pretty sure he will keep them under check. All he needs is exemplary leadership and performance.

About Tompolo and the other ex militants, it will be foolhardy to deny the influence they exert on politics in delta state. Thus, he necessarily has to align with them, especially in the first stages of his tenure. However, he should systematically seek to decrease their influence by reducing their power bases through policies of mass mobilization and people friendly policies, which will secure his popularity and general acceptability to all deltans, thus reducing the need for endorsement by the ex militants and other power brokers in the state. As exemplified by the recent successes of the APC against the ruling PDP, power still belongs to the people and not some selfish cabal and supposed power brokers.

Having said that. Apostle suleiman has to explain to Nigerians hw some of his prophecies are wrong

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday declared Ifeanyi Okowa, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Delta state.
The Returning Officer for the election, Bio Nyananyo, announced in Asaba, the Delta state capital, that Mr. Okowa polled 724,680 votes to beat his closest rival, Great Ogboru of the Labour Party, who got 130,028 votes.
O’tega Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress finished 3rd with 67,825 votes.
Mr. Nyananyo said Mr. Okowa won in 21 local government areas out of the 25 in the state while Mr. Ogboru clinched the remaining four LGAs.
“Okowa, having won the highest votes in the elections, which was contested and having satisfied the provisions of the law is hereby returned as winner and governorship-elect for Delta,” he declared.
He announced that 18 political parties participated in the governorship election while there were 2, 044,372 registered voters and 1,017,796 accredited voters.
He said the exercise recorded 931,808 valid votes while 24,913 ballots were rejected.

I am an APC supporter but this man Ifeanyi Okowa is the best among all the contestants in the Delta governorship election.
He is going to be the best governor ever produced since Delta state created.

He is a high ranking chieftain of d infamous Ibori cartel. But I sincerely pray dat God does wonders in Delta thru him. Nting is impossible with God. Traditional institutions in Delta North including d Asagba of Asaba etc should charge him to write d name of Delta North in gold. Uduaghan is a disgrace and a monumental failure. Ibori is a certified pick pocket but in the area of employment he tried. Most civil servants in Delta today were employed during d Ibori era. Ibori is better than Uduaghan. Okowa try like Fashola I beg u well well.

Delta state is in bondage, no other party can win elections in Delta except PDP, all the INEC officials were recommended and employed by PDP chieftains. When I worked with INEC in 2007, I realized that even the security and pressmen are bribed to remain loyal.

Okowa has never lost any election in his political career. From Councilor, local govt chairman, commissioner for health, SSG, Senator and now Governor

That why our people use to say, he who has good family, has all . Okowa is our Son,Father, Brother, Uncle we can never disapoint him.
