hello gurus in the house, i went for subnission and biometrics today and i was asked to go for an interveiw, i didnt know i was supposed to go for interveiw. they asked me a couple of questions why i wanted to go, where i will stay where i work and for how long and even name of my boss at work. My fear is i was asked where i was supposed to do an exam in UK which was one of the reasons why i was going and i couldnt remember i just said somewhere in london, will this affect my chances.

Is your exam centre in London or outside London?

Thanks a lot to justwise and the rest of the house. Your patience in answering all sorts of questions is truly amazing. Just wanted to give feedback that we picked up our visas today. I was really worried about mistakenly stating my first passport was with nis on d application. To give me peace of mind my hubby called their customer service paid line and they were happy to take down d additional info we wanted to give and sent a mail confirming that it had been escalated to d those reviewing our files. I didn't even know it was possible to do this. As a previous poster stated, I just renewed my passport in my maiden name and I was granted d visa. I submitted marriage cert and newspaper publication for change of name. Thanks again to justwise and everyone who contributed.

Congratulations! Glad it worked out, though you did a good job with your packaging and follow up inquiries.

I am to get some help. I am a South African citizen and want to go study in the Uk. I have applied and got accepted. My problem is I was refused a visa in 2006. The first time I was told they did not believe that the supporting documents were legitimate, which they were. The second time I was refused because I overstayed and used public funds which my passport stamp stated I was not supposed to. I had overstayed. I was a under the age of 18 when I overstayed and had nobody to stay with since my mother was in the uk. I overstayed from 2004-2006. But each of these years I would return to SA after school was closed for the year and return to the UK for new school year. The whole time I was waiting for my unabridged certificate to be issued. And it took 3yrs for it to be issued after numerous times of the "applications were lost". I was using different passports, the first one got lost and had to get a temporary passport. Which I used for 2005 and used new permanent 2006. I only disclosed the last time I overstayed cos I assumed they knew about the other times. The public funds story, I went for a fee assessment in the college I was attending. And they told me I don't have to pay. I explained this to the immigration officer but guess they did not believe me. I was days away from turning 18 when I applied for the dependency visa, the officer said I just want a visa. Since I was a minor, what were my rights? Though I was turning 18! The UKBA guide for immigration officers doesn't classify attending college as recourse to public funds. Why was I told the opposite? What are the chances of getting a tier 4 student visa? The last letter of refusal explicitly stated I will never be issued a UK Visa, no mention of any time limit.

Gosh! Your story is all over the place..ok let's start by getting some facts right.....

1.Have you used a different name to apply for visa apart from your real name?

2.How old are you the last time you applied and got refused?

3.Under which immigration rule were you refused? 320(11) or 320(7A) or both?

You need to make a list of places you tend to visit in the UK and breakdown of how you plan to spend that money, spending 500k in 10 days may result in refusal.

You can add flight booking as well

THANKS Oga mi, I will keep you Posted.

please i need your advise on this following issue

i will be submitting my visa application documents @VFS Lagos next week for a year apprenticeship which will start on 30 of this month. please can i be refuse visa due to the time factor between the processing time and the start of the program.

also i have 300,000 naira in my saving account with a guarantor's documents to support my lodging and feeding with a monthly stipend throughout the program, what is chance of getting a UK visa.

also i have my certificate with different year of birth to the one on my passport, can this have a negative effect on my application.

Your submission date and time may harm your application, basically you are giving them 2weeks to process your application.

Who is your sponsor?

Which city in the UK ?

And how much is in your sponsor's account?

Hello Justwise.
I have a couple of questions pertaining to Uk Visa.

1. I am applying for Uk visa on the 27th of April and I stated in my form that i will like to travel on the 25th of may. My question is, is that enough time given? I have a letter of introduction from work that states that my 10 days working leave starts from that day, 25th of May. i stated that my tourist vacation will be for 10 days in UK if granted a visa.

2. I had a sum of 300K I deposited into my account in December and was withdrawn a week after. Now this money was for wedding AsO-Ebi for my brother's wedding. Do i need to explain the source? since it barely even sat there for long? If I need to, will a simple invoice for the Aso-Ebi purchase be enough?

3. Also, I am one of the 1000 African Entreprenuers whose business idea was selected by The Tony Elumelu foundation, I am currently undergoing the online training and slated to attend a two days boot-camp in June at which we would be given 5000 dollars grant each. should I add this as I am assuming it indicates a strong-tie to my home country? If yes, will the email I received be enough proof for this? That is the only proof i can provide. emails from the TEEP foundation.

4. Lastly, I have several miscellaneous deposits from family (mostly my mum) and sometimes friends, not huge sums. 20k. 25k, 50k...Do i need to explain all of these deposits?

Select business visitor visa first and see if the options will change...if it doesn't then you select tourism

1. yes the time allocation is ok

2. That will not affect your application because the money has been taken out already.

3. The email and explanation will do.

4. Yes you need explain that.

Thanks alot for your prompt response at Justwise. God bless you.
These monies don't even stay in my account and doesn't add up to my balance at the end of the day because its withdrawn days later and used to make purchase of items for my Mum. *Sigh*
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by kokorasta: 12:55pm On Apr 15, 2015
Sorry Justwise, I forgot to ask. So sorry.

(please pardon my questions).

My balance is about 800k.

I intend spending 150k on flight, 150k on hotel for 10 days and 150k on upkeep.

I hope this amount isn't too small? Considering that by the time of travelling i will be paid another monthly income of about 112k added to the 800k balance.

Hello Guru's in the house, I was denied a US tourism visa on Monday on the ground that we don't have a family travel history. I want to visit the UK with my entire family before reapplying again.
What are the documents required and what's my stand with about 2M in my account.
I manage my own business and my wife is working as well. We have a 13 month old son that we will love to make the trip together.
I really need candid advice

Hi Guys,

Good job you're doing. I got my first visa to Uk with help from you guys. Now, i want to renew my visa but i just need some clarification.

I learnt one can apply up to 3 months before the intended date of travel.
I have completed the online form but am not sure if i should submit now April 16th 2015, and go ahead to book appointment & pay because the date of travel i have is 18th July 2015.

Please will appreciate some advice.

When did you track it?

Personally i don't think its a good idea to spend 450K in 10days while earning 112k a month, that is more than 3x of your monthly income.

That is just my opinion, you can still give it a go and see how it turns out.
