Deep down in the middle of the sea,
There exists a lost and sunken city,
The legendary City of Atlantis,
Its inhabitants aren’t quite human,
The females aren’t quite woman,
The males aren’t quite man.

Atlantians are a flagship of evolution,
Half human and half fish that inhabit the marine,
Gills for ears and fins for motion,
Their females are beautiful and serene,
Their males handsome and slim,
But their appetite is murderous and grim.

The beautiful females lure lost seamen,
With songs of passion and lustful dance,
Sailors become enchanted by fish-women,
The immoral ones fall into a trance,
While the chaste ones rant and rave,
As their comrades descend into a watery grave.

The beautiful females drag the immoral seamen,
Deep down into the underwater city,
A city of awaiting fish-men,
Where eating drowned sailors is the festivity,
Where shark-like teeth ravage corpses,
This is the lost city of Atlantis.

I love your poem though, but funny I don't remember Atlantians being mermaid and merman! Lol.

Any how there are so many tales regarding the lost city of Atlantis, many even liken it to be The Bermuda Triangle.

But really I love the poem, it can be viewed from two sides...
