I'm writing on "the problems and prospects of teaching history..." At this point in my chapter two am confused in choosing which theory to discuss. Somebody please help. |

Which options do you have? And do you mean teaching history or the history of teaching? |

uncleck:Hmm... I'd suggest you analyze several problems and then try to draw your conclusion. But in which respect are you looking at this problem of teaching history? Are there any special circumstances? University level or secondary school level? All of these will affect your assessment of the problem. For one, in Nigeria, pedagogical defects is one thing. But I'd still love to know the context under which you are considering this problem before replying. |

uncleck:If i understand correctly, you want to base the problem on the insufficiency of any one or multiple teaching methodologies? Right? Well, there's constructivism or inquiry-based learning which encourages critical thinking. There's also cooperative learning where students learn in groups. There should also be technology-based learning (I'm not sure though), where efficient use is made of technological resources in disseminating knowledge.
