I met this Birom lady about 3 weeks ago by accident (or Gods grand design) on my way to work. I never thought i would see her again but i have been seeing her almost everyday and i am developing serious interest in her because she is super intelligent, humble, gentle, good christian and very beautiful (without makeup) because i have watched her sleep in the vehicle on our way to work on the first day we met. We are friends now as we talk almost everyday (casual stuff),however i have some reservations about her bearing in mind that i know next to nothing about Birom people of Nigeria.

Im from the south south (delta state), but i am one of those few people who are Nigerian first before geo-political zone. I have no Birom friends so this serves as platform for me to ask about the trad, culture and behavior of birom ladies of Plateau state, most especially regards inter-tribal marriages(Delta vs Jos). I dont wanna rush and tell her 'serious stuff' and end up being rebuffed or having family issues when feelings have taken root.

So please help a friend out.

Anyway,Biroms are very religious. Approx 95% of them are Christians. They speak the Berom language.

Personally, I have a friend who is Birom, his family are nice people,committed ECWA members and his sister is married to a yoruba Christian man.

I don't see any red flags. You might want to check google for more info.

my brother shine your eyes, though all birom are not the same. there are some that are from barkin ladin while some are from do side. the do's are the most promiscuous compared to their barkin ladin counterpart. they can even be in their husband's home and be flirting. you may quote me wrong if you like, I have one presently and there is nothing she needs that almost all is not provided, there is a but. they love climbing, they are drunken ppl, even their men too. I am telling you what I have seen and am still seeing. if that one you saw is what you said about her then good, but check the lineage, the can be so deceptive. remember I said I have one and I know too that you don't speak Hausa.becareful.
