Therefore, it will be wrong to think that because the vice president is a southerner the senate president can be a northerner. The best way to view this and ensure true federal quota, so to speak, is to consider the roles within then context of the three arms of government. The executive will be headed by Buhari, the legislative is currently head by Mohammed so give the senate president to a southerner.
