this story is borne out of my fears or rather worries on how my generation has been immersed in A pool filled with hate which they consume with no sign of regrets
.
I wonder whom to blame for the lack of unity my peers display , is it the overzealous pastor or imam who tries to create an enemy out of nothing to satisfy and hold onto his congregation or our greedy politicians whom paint the other side black to make us blind to issues we are supposed to be worried about, maybe just maybe it might be the fault of who.ever suggested to our colonial masters that we can all live productive lives together, or they just outright planned it to make it easy to divide and conquer a large amount of blacks living in one geographic area,.faced with the above questions I choose the easy way out for the black man """only God knows""".
However what I do know is I miss the days growing up where all my friends where of different tribal make ups , and we had no prejudice against others, when we would play football in the area and all would be in the same team and upon making a blunder no-one would insult as aboki or flat head. . Kafiri or malo, . I wonder when it all started, this open hate for our fellow Nigerian.

I remember coming from a family that can be called Nigerian in all ramifications, I had aunties and uncles that were calabar, urhobo , fulani, Yoruba, Hausa and tiv, grandfather a Muslim , grandmum a Christian, Christian cousins from both sides of my family,. Christmas and sallahs always looked like a carnival, pure fun. only tribe that seem to be missing in this mixture is igbo, I wonder , are they not Nigerian, why is it that my adventurous family is yet to have an igbo link,. huh.
Which brings me to the real reason for this long story ,.
Just what happened? , why the divide ?,
Are just incompatible with them?.
If we can be compatible with all da other tribes, why are they different?
I wanna complete the Nigerian map in my family , hell if I can't my kids will , that's if we are able to mend whatever it is that makes them incompatible with the rest of us,
Thoughts of a confused fulani man****
Cheii this story long o .. make I hide before them start bash me..

We are divided because we were divided by the white men, who by force, drew up artificial boundaries to promote his economic and political interest.

Then, the military (Including BUHARI) in Africa have upheld those same interest and borders, continuing the divide with useless and unprofitable states. (Imagine the illegal creation of states in Nigeria by military regimes and the primary school names given to them, i.e Plateau, Delta, Rivers)

People like Zik saw unity for Black people, but it has to be on practical means. Not that we answer Lord Luggard's Girlfriends name (Niger-Area) and suddenly we are one nation just like that.
