@noble zone appreciation bro, you said it as it is despite what some think. While we condemn the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in SA we must first of all look inward and ask ourselves how better than those South Africans we are. What moral justification does one have condemning an attack on Nigerians on foreign soil only to engage in the same here at home.
It is unfortunate one has to mention a particular tribe but the Fulani has killed more Nigerians in Nigeria than South Africa ever will but nobody is talking about it and condemning it. The likes of Buhari and El-rufai have condemned the attacks in SA and have even urged the Jonathan govt to do something about it (because it suits their political interest) but these guys are never known to have condemned Fukani's attack on Benue, Nassarawa, Taraba etc villages that have claimed thousands of life. When Muslims and Christians kill each other it's okay but once it happens outside we remember it's wrong. Bunch of hypocrital Nigerians.
I do not support attacks on Nigerians on foreign soils but the worst of it is what Nigerians do against themselves here in Nigeria.

Well I don't think the op meant it as it looks. The point is beyond our collective condemnation of xenophobic attacks against Nigerians (which is good in itself), we must ask ourselves questions. Do such things don't happen in Nigeria? How many people have been killed in religion induced crises mostly in northern Nigeria? Don't such people deserve to live as are the Nigerians in SA?.
What the op is saying is that if we stop killing ourselves in Nigeria over stupid reasons then nationals of othe countries will think twice before taking up arms against us.

@Op you are very correct. Nigeria is a country built on hypocrisy, lies and injustice. We all know that the idea of a united Nigeria is an illusion. In the late 1950s, Ahmadu bello vowed to rather give foreigners posts than Igbos, leading to their demand that the british should continue untill independence becomes "practicable".

Again in 1966 many Notherners and wersterners took advantage of the Igbo led coup (an act which most Igbo leader were not privy) to promote anti-igbo sentiment. Many statements were released by govt in northern and western region portraying igbos as dominieering pple who took over jobs from the 'indigens'. Many igbos were attacked and sacked.

Around 2006 we heard about the killing of six Igbo traders in Abuja. Nothing has been heard about the 'apo six' till today.

What about the aluu murder case?

Even till today an average Hausaman will pretend to be contented with just the food he eat but then will be ready to capitalize on a danish cartoon to burn down a house owned by an igbo in the north.

We also hear yorubas saying go back to your "villages" simply because they eye Igbo investments and jobs.

Tell me the moral right someone who does this has to condemn a south african doing same in their own country.

There is no difference between Igbophobia and xenophobia

nigerians should know that charity begins at home.

So many of the businesses of Nigerian origin in the places affected by this barbarism in South Africa are probably "IGBO" and so many of the Nigerian people in danger there are probably "IGBO" . On Niraland and other social media outlets Nigerians of all persuasions are outraged by what these Nigerians in South Africa may be suffering and yet some people claiming to be IGBO are flooding Niraland condemning Nigerians for being outraged at what these Nigerians of probably IGBO origen are facing in South Africa. Moreover stupidly sighting instances of some Oba in Lagos and trying to draw diabolically inane parallels. The point is, i doubt the people doing this are Igbo. It's likely they are South Africans and Ghana people who simply will not leave Nigerian people alone. And if these people flooding Niraland with these lines of reasoning have not even the honesty and courage to reveal their true Nationality, and aim to promote or exasperate ethnic division among us by these attempts, how can they even begin to compare their warped morality to those of Nigerians that stand up for people, hurt no foreigners and too often are the victims of the evils of Africa.

You build shops, buy houses, get accommodated and live in the yoruba land and the North more than they yorubas and the the hausas do in the east, Yet you say they hate you. Wake UP!!!.... Is it everybody that is condemning the actions of south africans now? The Zulu's are happy about this because they are the predators and the foreigners are the prey.
