Here is a Speech made by former S/A President P.W. Botha to his Cabinet. It was reprinted by David G. Mailu for the Sunday Times, a S/A newspaper, on 18, 1985.


"...We are not obliged even the least to try to prove to anybody & to the Blacks that we are superior people. We have demonstrated that to the Blacks in 1001 ways. The Republic of S/A that we know of today has not been created by wishful thinking. We have created it at the expense of intelligence, sweat and blood... We do not pretend like other Whites that we like Blacks. The fact that, Blacks look like human beings & act like human beings do not necessarily make them sensible human beings.


Hedgehogs are not porcupines & lizards are not crocodiles simply because they look alike. If God wanted us to be equal to the Blacks, he would have created us all of a uniform colour & intellect. But he created us differently: Whites, Blacks, Yellow, Rulers & the ruled. Intellectually, we are superior to the Blacks; that has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt over the years.
I believe that the Afrikaner is an honest, God fearing person, who has demonstrated practically the right way of being......

By now every one of us has seen it practically that the Blacks cannot rule themselves. Give them guns & they will kill each other.

They are good in nothing else but making noise, dancing, marrying many wives & indulging in sex. Let us all accept that the Black man is the symbol of poverty, mental inferiority, laziness and emotional incompetence.

I have travelled to very many countries and yes, there are some black men that do us proud, but many are simply a disgrace. I believe black women would have gone farther with the right men, as black women have proven to be more intelligent and more pushful than their white counterparts.

If you've lived in any Western nation with a high proportion of black immigrants, you will find that the women have fared betterthan the men - both financially and in terms of how they comport themselves. It is a personal observation. And this is in spite of the fact that they are faced with both racial and gender discrimination.

Inferiority complex is not the reason why African politicians loot their countries dry, or why some people kill others for money rituals.

I believe that God did not make blacks less intelligent, but the issue with blacks is a spiritual one, which can only be dealt with in prayer.

Things didn't just "fall into place". The Chinese developed a nation to be proud of, and one that tourists flock into. They made their country indispensable as far as world manufacturing is concerned. Other than oil, what else can we boast of conrributing to the world? How many tourists flock into Nigeria? Are they not avoiding this country for fear of getting attacked? Forget about tourists: can you sleep without your doors and gates locked, with security guards in addition?

The earlier you stop deceiving yourself and start doing your bit to enhance this nation, the better.
