Since we're not given any order to answer the questions, then its combination.
From the combination formula, n!/r!(n-r)!
n=6(total no of questions)
r=4(no of required questions)
I.E. 6!/4!(6-4)! =6!/4!2!
=6x5x4!/4!x2x1 (I stopped simplifying 6! At 4! To enable us to divide easily with the denominator)
I.E. 6x5/2 (4! Cancels 4!)
=30/2 =15

So the student can answer the questions in 15 ways.

In how many ways can 6 colour chalks be arranged if 2 are of the same colour?

4. Pick; no4, no1, no2
U can see dats the highest he can go without repition, which makes it 4 ways.
he can do that mathematically also...4!/3!(4-3)! =4!/3! =4x3!/3! =4
