The same reason why they fear their white oppressors is the same reason why a white plumber/peasant can go to Nigeria and he will end up being treated like a king and why a lot of Nigerians suck up to white people. And the same why black folks everywhere form gangs to kill one another - but develop cold feet when it is time to fight the white oppressors.

I am sorry but I don't agree with that.. I think every man should speak on their own merits... I don't belive in hating any race... at all.. I also dont serve whites!The fundamental problem with black people is I am the king or I am the local chief ..no one can speak to me! The fact that African rulers can keep robbing their subjects blind and refuse to be accountable is a bigger problem... The day we stop blaming whites for our problem and actually own up to our own mistakes..that day we would move forward...

Nigerians for the most part treat all foreigners as king! tHAT IS WHY INDIANS/Pakistani/Lebanese and even other black persons from other countries hold steady high paying jobs there.. In South Africa ..you would never have that chance and if you do they would hound you!

I think the fundamental problem with most Nigerians is that they are mostly ignorant and arrogant - and a lot of them don't take time out to study the history of different places before passing judgements, or knowing how to manoeuvre/act. It plays out everywhere.

If you understand South African history you definitely would understand why they are the way they are. The fact that they haven't even started attacking the white settlers in large scale is still a mystery. I think that has more to do with the innate fear apartheid instilled in them subconsciously. They messed those people up - and they are still messed up. And you don't mess with wounded folks like that who are still hurting, unless you want them to eat you alive.

The whites have been under attack since the end of apartheid I don't know why the media has been turning a deaf ear to the plights of White afrikkans farmers in SA. More than 20K has been murdered,maimed or räped since 1994... You can research on this...
I don't see the xenophobic attacks ending soon.. Even if it stops now,in a few months or years attacks ll continue
SA was built on a faulty line & has always been a keg of gun powder waiting to explode.. I'm surprised it took this long

Not saying what is going on there is right - no one has a right to take the life of the next person. And I condemn it. However, how can you lot be spewing fire and brimstone, getting mad and cursing folks, when worse things happen at ya own backyard among folks from the same country? At least you weren't systematically destroyed the way they were destroyed for generations. Why were at least 250 people brutally murdered in Nigeria over an election? Who do folks use other folks for rituals? Why do people get maimed like rats all the time in Nigeria for no reason? Etc..

Okay I see now. I think that the Government needs to do some things about this than rather killing the foreigners.Why don't South Africans come together and decide that they will only buy from SA local shops and that way will keep the money amongst the locals and am sure this will make the foreigners decrease in the townships. The company who fired all South African employees should have been taken to the labour union and dealt with accordingly rather then attacking foreigners. I think the Government needs to do more esp in such sectors where this is a problem. I know in other sectors if you don't have legal documents you cannot be employed and some companies don't employ non-sa citizens or if they employ them they are in the minority.

On a second note you do know that striking is a big thing and issue and sometimes for the company involved and the amount of money asked for can be quite high and unaffordable and hence am sure that is why the company decided to fire them all and hire foreigners because they believe something is better than nothing while some locals believe it's either I get what I want or I don't do the job. But all these frustrations are understandable and it's just said that Government is not doing their job yet the same people are okay with R71 million rand looted (Nkandla) etc. Why don't they fight Government for the real reason why they do not have jobs etc. I feel personally the reason why Government does not really care much for this xenophobia thing is because it takes the heat of them as others are being blamed for all their problems.
