APC never sidelined the SE, it's the igbos that have shown unwarranted hate towards the party. When APC was being formed, APGA was invited but they pulled out at the last minute, everything was done during the campaign to appease the igbos but they wouldn't have it. They even voted massively out of hate against Ngige despite the promise of the senate presidency. What more could have been done?

Igbos have an history of being unreasonably hateful and ungrateful, I don't see the hatred going away even if buhari transforms the SE into a paradise. IMHO, buhari and the APC do not need to appeal to the igbos in anyway, they should be the least prioritised if there's anything!

The one group that needs that appeasal is the south south. This is because they contribute immensely to the economy and do not practice the politics of bitterness like the igbos. It was understandable that they voted for their son in the just concluded election and even at that, they gave GMB more votes than the SE. Talk about crying more than the bereaved.

With the nigerdelta votes in the bag, the igbo votes becomes completely irrelevant as the worst that can happen is what we witnessed during the election.

Like every other region in nigeria, the SE will feel the wind of change but they should forget any special treatment or prioritised developmental projects. "Every region will be positively affected" that's the best you can get.

For goodness sake I don't know why an igbo man will be so shameless and have such q short memory to forget what they did last month. Now they r the first to give list to GMB whom they hated without any course. Those of u living outside south east will not understand the level of thinking these myopic people could be.

I am from ebonyi state but I live in Umuahia. Up till now some of friends still hate me for supporting GMB. The first question an igbo guy will ask u is what will u benefit from an Hausa man. One guy that I know the family very well told me to my face that he would vote gej and let him throw all Nigerian money to river Niger that he doesn't care. Meanwhile his three elder brother have graduated without job and one of them rides hire purchase cab for ochendo global.

I had a quarrel with my girl cos she refused to understand why I must vote GMB. And since gej lost the relationship has not been the same. Even when I have to tell her that my vote is just one in millions that voted against gej. Moreover there was no election in the SouthEast and my vote didn't count.

And now these folks wqnt to tell GMB what he must do. These red hat fools r not serious. Pls Nigeria ignore them. Am making plans to relocate these people insensitivity de fucking too high.......shun what u read on papers...it's an understatement...they r more foolish than that .

[b]@jayfolarin,

You just hid under the banner of APC politics to dish out your typical Yoruba retrogressive character.

Note: the SE and SS sent out similar messages last election: the message is that time for divide-and-colonize to exploit and ruin their areas is over.
All these your eulogies for the SS is the old, but now dead and and buried divide-and-rule tactic which for decades enabled you and your Alimi overlords to milk the SS and SE dry;

and in many of the SE and SS areas you left them without a habitable home land due to oil waste environmental pollution;

after which you return to the SW to brand non-Yoruba as guests in Lagos.

most of non-northerners have been chased away from the north, you do not see that as a strange phenomenon, your only focus is on SS and SE -start chasing non-Yorubas in SW away to end One Nigeria, or remain as indecisive as ever because you foolishly believe that crude oil is all there is for a country to survive.

You foolishly believe that your land can't have development without crude oil and gas proceeds that come to Nigeria mainly from the SS ad SE? And that's why you devote all these time to divide and separate the SS and SE groups so as to continue exploiting them without any capable challenger.

Ask: why can't Yoruba people modernize the rest of Yourabaland outside Lagos; instead, Yoruba are moaning over the possibility of Lagos completely losing traces of Yoruba culture in the nearest future?

Rest of Yorubaland outside Lagos needs development, they remain remain muddy houses with thatch or rusty corrugated roofs with development standards like in the land of the desert Tuareg, despite all the money Yoruba has drawn from oil proceeds from the SS and SE.

See all you devoted time to do here in name of Igbo bashing. You belong to the most primitive set of Yorubas who these days regard fellow Nigerian citizens in Lagos as guests. At the same time, Yoruba live in London or New York, but no Londoner or New Yorker shall call them guests or scheme to appropriate their landed properties by provoking them to a fight.

The yearning by the non-progressive Yoruba to posses Igbo property in Lagos is gradually driving many Yoruba insane, true.

jayfolarin, you are a semi-educated but pristine ethnic bigot. It's sinful for one to belong to one country with somebody like you.

Dear Igbo Compatriots:
One of the closest Igbo man to the President
Elect is Dr Chris Ngige Onwa, a Senator who was
defeated in the Senatorial Election.
See how bad Igbos are at strategizing? They
couldn’t override a pathological hatred for
General Buhari to make a hedge bet and return
this man to the Senate, to enhance his chances
at Senate President, incase General Buhari wins,
which he did.
Instead folks played tribal and religious politics
to the tilt as drunken sailors, and failed the man
and the chance to make history as Senate
President.
That’s what happens when emotions trips
common sense and folks succumb to hustlers
like Peter Obi and Arthur Eze, hustlers after their
own interests instead of the masses they
pretend to serve.
I urged caution, I pleaded that we were making a
huge mistake to hitch our wagon on Jonathan
who wasn’t going to win. And predictably he lost,
so also our chance in the new administration.
I hate to gloat.
But maybe, maybe, only maybe he gets a good
ministerial appointment, but nothing beats being
Senate President.
Igbos are very bad at politics.
Fifty years after independence, we are yet to
produce a president when others have taken
multiple turns. Our answer? Blame others! If you
only Hausas didn’t do this or Yorubas didn’t do
that, perhaps the god of politics will bless our
lot.
And sadly it won’t stop until we learn to coexist
with others instead of our ‘better than thou’
attitude when dealing with the Hausas and
Yorubas. We are not better than anyone, these
folks we thumb our noses at, are God’s creatures
like us.
We don’t like the Hausas and we don’t like the
Yorubas, yet we populate their States in search
for our livelihood.
Our politics should mirror our economic
aspirations, not the other way around. There is
no wisdom in living in the North, earning a living,
yet despise the Northerners. That’s being
ungrateful. The gods of politics don’t like that.
How long can this collective amnesia insulate us
from meaningfully seating at the table, making
contributions to Nigeria’s political evolution?
How long can this foolishness go on?
How long?
There is a miserable silence across the land
today, because we are realizing that we were
sold off for pennies by pimps who parade as
Igbo leaders.
Where are they?
If u hate this post and feel u are the original Igbo
and am the sold out.....Please delete me from ur
list and stop feeding me if u ever had.

Dont mind all these so called ethnic champions who sow nothing but seeds of discord and hate among the people. Why cant they demand things on behalf of NIGERIANS? Na only Ndigbo get needs or na only dem need attention?

Anyway, we the NdiNigerians (i.e. the rest of Nigerians that actually voted for Change and Buhari) also have three demands we make from our dear Ndigbo brothers and sisters.

(1) stop seeing yourselves as the sole victims of marginalisation in Nigeria - na all of suffer under previous governments (especially under your adopted son, Jonathan) and na all if us go benefit if Buhari performs.

(2) stop seeing yourselves as some sorts of super-human, ultra-intelligent, semi-jews that are BETTER than other tribes. This is not only a dangerous fallacy, but it leads to disrespect of other tribes (on your part) and irritation of your tribe (on the part of others). As a people Ndigbo are unique and have excelled in some aspects BUT that does not mean other tribes are incapable or lesser than Igbos.

(3) many - not all of you sha - need to actually start believing in Nigeria for once. When was the last time an igbo person (red cap chief or not) condemned MASSOB or engaged them in a serious debate about a united Nigeria? Or is it that una dey secretly support dem or hope say dem go succeed? which one una dey? In 2019 someone like me no go mind vote for Rochas as president BUT I am sure many Ndigbos will sabotage my willingness to trust them. That is if they dont sabotage his ambitions to start with. Nigeria can be better IF all of us believe in it.

End of demands.

As you can see, our demands are not about politics, appointments, or materially and financially demanding from you. All our demands have to do with YOUR state of mind as members of this country.

Thank you. God bless Nigeria and every Nigerian in equal measure.

May we continue to tolerate and love one another and to love our country.

Say No to Xenophobia, IgboPhobia and NigeriaPhobia.

Signed: J. Z. K
on behalf of NdiNigerians.

Na so. Nigerians. More than 96% of non northerners in northern Nigeria have been flushed away from northern Nigeria. But so long as SS and SE zones still remain part of Nigeria, one Nigeria ahoy, non stop.

If the Nigerdelta makes any move for fiscal federalism, they are branded criminals and given the Saro Wiwa, Odi and Gbaramaturu treatment. If MASSOB opens mouth to talk, you expect Igbo leaders to keep them shut up. One Naija ahoy.

See as una small brain de work to keep one Nigeria.

Walahi, if not for the large percentage of Igbos who have property in Lagos and Abuja, and are not interested in leaving Nigeria, una for just wake up one morning to realize that Igbo has left Nigeria, impossible to get back one Nigeria. Today is not the 1960s. The level of good judgement is fast diminishing among Nigerians who want one Nigeria. A country forced together never makes it. Perhaps we are waiting for crude oil to finish.

A hardly known Igbo group made some statements so that thegroup be recognized, Yoruba people on NL descended on whole Igbo made up of about 35 million people.

Are Yoruba people getting more and more nervous for what? Una don win presidency na with north, or you have already started to notice you won a Phyrric victory, which of course, what you won?

Must all your survival depend on what transpired between getting oil money from the delta to politics of how to share the money?

All you specialize in these days is make cheap propaganda blackmail against the Igbo, to weaken Igbo resolve to strive harder, all your blackmail to retain One Nigeria because you believe without crude oil proceeds you cannot survive.

Una no de shame again, the open manner you display these days that you have nothing else better to live on than scheming how to get more from oil revenues, more than the people on the delta whose lands and immediate environment the oil is found.

Geraway with your childish blackmail.

These people berating the SE for voting GEJ......I wonder what it will look like where all the 5 regions voted against One region being the south-south!!!!!!!!

If you were from the south-south person will you be happy about it

APC should be grateful for Ndigho for making the loss of south-souths first president in mid-flight look palatable

Bros,

This spirit of your is what I pray many younger generation of Igbos should imbibe and emerge as leaders of the tribe. I fear for the Igbos, cos they have some catching up to do. When you don't forgive/forget and move on, you simply hurt yourselves

Thanks bro

Shut that piece of shit u called mouth. You Igbos are pathetic.....

I have always supported Igbos as far as marginalisatio rhetorics (I grew up with this Igbos marginalisation rhetorics) was concerned but my eyes got opened during Jonathan administration. I was made to pick up some Nigeria history books as a result of Igbos action under Jonathan administration; I read about two to three books and I was shocked with my findings; I realised that Igbos have held more political appointments than any other tribes in southern part Nigeria even as small as South East is.

Life is not all about you guys. Selfishness at its peak!!!!

Why didn't you say all these rubbish when Jonathan filled up everywhere with incompetent Igbos? Igbos utterances in the last couple of days has shown how hypocritical and despicable you guys are.

After Aguiyi Ironsi regime, Nigerians thought there would never be a govt administration laced up with tribalism, bigotry and nepotism until another half-Igbo man became a president. Take a look at this list below and tell me if any president has ever done this except Aguiyi Ironsi.

President-Igbo
SGF-Igbo
CBN - IGBO
Speaker deputy - Igbo
Senate deputy - Igbo
Minister for Finance - Igbo
Petroleum-Bayelsa
Printing and Minting - Igbo
Nafdac -Igbo
Health - Igbo

Even the Hausas/Fulanis in military have never done this above show of shame and pure tribalism. And Igbos were quiet all through that administration cos others were marginalised.

Jonathan removed other tribes from head of parastatals and put Igbos there but that would be addressed now. Bureau of statistics was filled up with Igbos.

The Igbo man in charge of population related parastatal even made an attempt to inflate the population of Igbos by trying to run the previous census down so as to pave room for manipulation but Thank God for Nigeria senate who saw through that tribal plan. The map of Nigeria alone says a lot without doing per head counting.

I wish this coming administration could pay you bunch of Ingrates in your own coins
someone from Bayelsa is now igbo? tomorrow if igbos lay claims that Niger Delta belongs to them, you people will be the first to cry foul. Confuse fellows

and here comes the victim's card..

Are you saying the topic doesn't deserve to be on front page?
Is nairaland the one that made the list?

When posts ridiculing the oba of lagos flooded front page, and your tribesmen flexing muscles and insulting the Yorubas, did you see us cry bout nairaland?

Why not ask your ridiculous indibo group to stop making frivolous demands and let the incoming government do his work instead of acting as if they are more important than everyone else?

Acting like a victim for what you started is nothing but cowardice.

Thank you very much for this. Quick to playing the victim card when it's not going their way. Iranu!

Its an open fact that ebonyi people are the least developed in the SE region bu that t why I quoted but becos ur argument is full of bias

The nooted emblock for GMB and you don't have a problem; the yorunas did same and you don't chastise

Its clear that for you anyone who votes GEJ is stupid

For your infoi GEJ spent more with the north than even the SE yet the north didn't spare him their botes

Its obvious from your statement is that you are very inexpereinced, inept and ignorant of nigeria's political history
