Suddenly, Boko Haram Gone?
-Attorney Patryk Utulu*

Ahem, yes, almost overnight, Nigeria's Boko Haram terrorists seem to have disappeared.

Our home grown lunatics seem to have found some inner peace and love of life, all without even the pretense of making any political, religious or economic demands. So strange, isn't it? A miracle? For years they rained mayhem, murder and madness upon Nigerians and then, within a month, "poooof" vanished.

Brings to mind William Shakespeare's Macbeth, "a tale told by a "tool", full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Or was there more than "nothing" to it?

Some say Boko Haram have accomplished their political purpose and are no longer needed for timid intimidatory tactic and electoral ethnic cleansing. A few others believe that they were used strategically to scare the U.S./Europe into believing that Nigeria -- and possibly all of West Africa -- was turning into a new Middle East, thereby forcing the Western world to seek a new pseudo military messiah. Or as some have asked, was Boko Haram used to terrorize our nation merely to boost the electoral propaganda of "total insecurity" in Nigeria?

I don't know what you think, and honestly, I don't think it matters now. However, as a Nigerian you must ask that irrepressible Little Patriot in you: Is it really so immaterial and/or unworthy of reflection that our terrorists seem to have just magically found peace and vanished? Does every end justify every means?

Till the fire next time!!

Latest news indicate they've run outta ammo.

Apparently those supplying them weapons in the past don't see any need to re-arm the insurgents, I wonder why?

The other side seeks unity and patriotism now, unfortunately you cannot give what you don't have. They have sowed a seed in the Nigerian political landscape, they should watch it grow.

Is also quite interesting to see the daily assault on the Nigerian state by the western media stop. Suddenly AFP, Reuters, Aljazierra and CNN don't have anything bad to say about the Nigerian state and government.

GEJ's administration boldly claimed they would end Boko Haram in 6 weeks ( consider the fact that they weren't able to in almost 6yrs)................

And they did!!!! shocked

Isn't that fishy?

Boko Haram has concluded its contract. Nigeria can now be governable. The blood of those slain to achieve victory will judge and destroy everyone who shed blood to justify their election into power
