I really dnt need a dog cus its aggresive
I actually want one because I need it to be cute.
I wish to see an adult mix of that kind before considering weather to buy it or not.

Or u sell lesser than the price of a GSD not trying to be in between so you can learn not to mis mate again.
Once a dam is on heat,seperate her from other dogs and allow only the sire u want to mate her wit.
I can bet u won't do the mistake of allowing ur female boerboel mate with ur male GSD
Gone are the days when there are no good dogs in Nigeria,where one can ms mate just so to sell a bit higher especially to those not willing to pay the price for the real breed
I like ur topic as it reads boer boe and not boerboel so anyone buying should know what to get when it grows up.

hi I'm totally new to this But I've been following different topics for some time. I just want to say that I don't really see anything wrong in mixing two breeds together. From what I know most pedigree dogs today are as a result of mixed breeding in order to get certain physical traits they wanted. If I hadn't just bought a puppy I would have definitely bought one of these. They are very cute and I know will grow up to be big and strong dogs. I see dogs as doogs, mixed, pure, "bingo" :-D they are all wonderful animals.

Yea most pedigree dogs were mixed from onset with the purest of each bloodlineage
Example a bullmastiff was derived from crossng between an old english mastiff and a bulldog,the bloodlineage used where the purest of the OEM and the Bulldog and the standard bullmastiff was produced,and for a reason.
Not like u taking a bulldog today to mate an englsh mastiff and say u have produced a bullmastiff,cos the lineage of the bulldog might have been tampered wth somewhere or that of the OEM.
We fight and enlighten against mis mating becos clients buy dogs for reasons
These breeds has their xters expected of a particular breed,crossbreeding makes it hard to predict what D dog can do and this goes a long way.
For instance someone buys a pup of this cross and mates her with a boerboel,do u believe the pups dey produce can show traits of the grandparent "GSD"(just like in human too,a child can have features of his grandparents)and sold as boerboels becos u believe both parents are boerboels but u 4got the lineage has been altered.now anyone who pays for such dog as a boerboel will not be happy with the seller in the long run.
I won't even mix my straight back GSD with my Slant back,I see no reason to do so

I agree with what you are saying, I'm just saying that the people need to cut him some slack. I don't really see what is wrong with mixing a German Shepherd and a boerboel. They are both two strong breeds. If it was a lhasa apso and boerboel then I definitely wouldn't agree with that. But that being said, I'm sure you know your history on so called pure breeds. How we humans played "God" to create certain "pedigree" breeds. It involved a lot of in-breeding which obviously comes with complications. That's why most pure breeds or pedigree breeds have a series of health problems. Even the "Slant back" German Shepherd is a creation that serves no purpose at all aside from causing severe health problems which includes hip dysplasia. The original German Shepherd didn't have a Slant and to me looked similar to the Belgian malinois.

Yes in terms of predictable characters and temperaments pure breeds are better but still I don't see why we are making such a fuss over mixing dog breeds. The pure breeds we have today are as a result of mix and match

As a person of mixed heritage I can say that sometimes you get the best when you mix two breeds together. I guess maybe that's why I'm a bit touchy on the subject

Well its only good if you are doing so for your personal reason so you can give the breed a name and tell what we expect of the xters and your own reason for producing the breed,but u know that's is not an easy task its a lot attached.
Though good the breeder came out clean its mixed breed which I respect,he should indicate its only good for guard and never ever should be bred with so we can keep a standard,not many people know these and they buy so to breed.

Very true. He was honest about it and like you said whoever buys the pups shouldn't use them for breeding coz it just makes things worse especially if people buy the offspring expecting them to be pure.
