I've been following this thread for quite sometime now and I must confess, you guys are doing a great job, I read the thread from the very first page (now on page 30... no be small work oo) as advised by justi4jesu and to be candid, the infos (though out of date) have really helped me in gaining more insights into travel visa issues. These are my questions:
1. what are the prospects for a physics graduate seeking greener pasture there in dubai?
2. What are their interview questions like?
3. How much is termed as average salary over there in order to live a comfortable life?
4. What is the total amount (flight(return ticket inclusive in case the outcome doesn't turn out good, make i no go remain illegal for another person country), visa, accommodation, feeding and transport) it will cost me to come search for job?
5. As regards the visa, for someone who doesn't have any relative there, what type of visa would you advise I apply for, tourism or visit, and will statement of account be required?

physics means u should be open to any mech or electrical engiuneering jobs if u hv d opportunity...dunno much about physics but u should add certifications and work experience if u hv any...u can teach also n am sure d pay wont b that bad

as per prospect of getting job...u can meet someone in a bar n d next day he offers u a job.,....n u can send multiple cvs and still not get anything after months...


as per interview questions it depends on d job...it will b critical and directed to d job technicalities but note dont try to b too shy and contrastingly dont try to b too bold...

ow can u even ask what d interview questions are like here...for physics graduate u think say d question go easy abi e go complex..nawa to u o

average salary ..to me is 4k dhs and if u get a job in a multinational u will get around that..if u get school job me no sabi

and with that u will live a comfy life with 4 roomies and savings so far u dont indulge nija babes..except she has time to b in a real relationship,dont expect such...if u like women den ensure u change cos women here will suck that small change off u ( no b me calll 200k change o..na kiza babes)

flight check google.visa..., accomodation in 4 man room 500 basic with like 150 light n water bill per month...in aed (i.e*54), feeding 2-10 dhs per day depending on u....some people no go jasi what i mean by that...transport...get a bus card ...duh...

as per ur last question...visa type...i pray u r not duped cos clearly u hv not read d thread so u are expecting busy peeps to answer ur baby questions(na as d forum yabis dy b i dy give am to u o so ur jungle go mature chap chap)....read some pages to get a clear picture and if u need visa enquiries try to go to emirates airline in mm2..not sayin u should fly dem but u will get info noni...anyway hope u not a first time traveller out of d shores

oh boy! your guy dey jail since early hours of thursday... i came to Deira from Abu Dhabi on wednesday by 12 mid night, the building i was in was raided from 1:30am by 2am i was taken to Naif police station. After i turned in my ID, at tge end i discovered that someone was impersonating with my ID and has a very serious case. I was released today but was called on phone to return to the station which i did. I'm still in jail using their wifi and the phone i came back in with.

i will update the house when i'm out, please be careful guys some of our naija people are very wicked. please remember me in your prayers.

Please note there are no shortcuts and the Ministry of foreign affairs will send you back for the UAE embassy attestation.

Plan ahead not to be frustrated.

Note: This also applies to people already working in Dubai even if you have worked for 3 to 5years or more, once you get a new job and your certificates were not attested with your previous company, then your employment visa application with the new company will automatically be rejected.
