One of the most unique bridges in the world! The Magdeburg Water Bridge in Germany is a bridge for boats... a river that runs over the top of another river!

pardon my naivety. What's the point of having a bridge like this to serve as pathway for boats? Is it for tourist attraction? Or is it cheaper to construct and maintain this type of bridge than a bridge for trains (I mean new trains o, not the old refurbished 1822 trains that takes 10 hrs from Enugun to phc)

Everything that is good is possible to happens to us only if we have the drive. Because we have the money.
Most people in politics in 9ja are just there to make more money.
Have you not seen your governors and senators flying around in choppers and private jets?
They will rather prefer to own those things than to make it public here.

Example is education: All the so-called leaders destroyed public education to enable them float their own schools.
So, how can something as good as in the picture happens here when everyone is for himself?
It is a pity. We all shout one Nigeria yet (if i'm not wrong) no one belives in Nigeria.
So, if you don't believe in a cause, you don't invest in it.

This is the Elbe-Haval canal that links the Eastern city of Magdeburg to the river Elbe. Canals are an essential part of German transportation infrastructure network. Goods are moved between industrial hubs via these canals. There is also the ship lift at a place called Eberswald. A magnificent piece of engineering work
