The Commissioner for Environment, Lagos State, Mr. Tunji Bello and the General Manager of the Lagos State Environment Protection, LASEPA, Mr Ademola Shabi yesterday in Alausa disclosed that, the State Government shutdown 24 religious houses in year 2014. According to them, the State Government received over 1000 petitions, but 24 has been shut down so far, while most of the religious houses have relocated.

The commissioner also said religious outfits contribute 50% of the noise pollution in the State, and they are working towards shutting down more.

Lagos state govt should really do somethin! the noise pollution from lagos mosques alone is enough to make one go crazy.

I know most churches can do without outdoor speakers 'but not too sure' of mosque. They should try not to use this to victimise anybody or group(s) too. It is well. God bless Nigeria.

Aside from the call to prayer they don't need to use the outdoor speakers especially since a lot of these religious places were built in residential areas. Sine they will start saying victimizations if the government asks them to vacate the residential areas the. At least let them respect their neighbors.

You should note it's usually the neighbors that report them
