Dis argument of frog and toad sef dey tire me , as for me na NONE OF THE ABOVE , I NO DEY CHOP .

Frog is different from toad....
Frog has a rough back, and its poisonous. Dey can only eat toad.

u make this mistake because u are probably a Yoruba. Why did I say so? Okay let me explain:

Frog = Akere
Toad= Opolo

But Yoruba make d mistake of thinking that frog= opolo. Frog has no poison and it is actually called akere in Yoruba but many Yoruba ppl think that frog= opolo

Its not every part of Benue state that eat frog (opolo)my mum is from ohimilli LGA(idoma),its d tivs dat I knw dt eat it thr.Unless some idoma ppl dat grow up in mkd or gboko, dat wish to hv a taste of it.

Guys don't let's mislead ourselves. Toads are the ones Yorubas call Opolo. They're mostly brown/dark brown and have coarse, poisonous skin.

Frogs are the ones known as Konko or Ankere (remember that Fadeyi Oloro series). They have smooth green/brownish green colours and are the ones that make those terrible sounds in swampy or water-logged areas. They're quite tasty when roasted with a little amount of dried pepper and salt!

bros ,in yoruba land we call frogs opolo and toads konko and toads are very edible , u can always see hausa traders hawking it all over the market . It is roasted dry just like bonga fish . So toad is very very edible.

You are the one misleading people, toads are not edible as they contain poison glands while frogs are the edible ones. Re-confirm please.

whaooooo , I thought I knew the difference,never knew I was wrong all along . It is the frog that I was wrongly refereing to as toad then. Thanks for the clarification and correction. It is the frog that is edible and not the toad.

This has got nothing to do with the 'coming of Christ', so please don't trivialize it. Back in high school some 20yrs ago, I ate frogs ...it was fun hunting frogs in ponds within the school, especially during raining season.
We love to go for the big ones with egg.
