konkoo is not that familiar per se, but opolo is the word for frog or toad, not sure there's a distinction between the two, although there might be sha.

Yes there is. Toads are poisonous whereas frogs are edible. Even the Chinese eat frogs. Google it if you are in doubt ok? Cheers!

Toad is Konko while frog is Opolo. Frods are poisonous! If you can't differentiate them, please don't eat them. Most of what we see around are frogs. Both make noise at night to attract female

Frogs are edible while toads are not, it is from toads that snakes got their poisons.

Biology. Frogs are aquatic (that's, lives in water while toads are terrestrial that's live on land)

because toads are those with black thick skin and they are not edible. so, no big deal. it is also consumable in some parts of south west.
