Work In South Africa by nastyesco(op): 11:15am On May 04, 2015
Hi Peeps,
Pls I am in South Africa on a long term work permit and need to bring my wife over. Her visa states that she can stay the same duration as I but "Prohibited to Work or School". Pls any ideas on what she can do, as U know its impossible to ask someone who was gainfully employed to sit at home all day doing nothing. I am open to work probably not in a big organization or courses with duration within 3-6months. It could be trade, skill or formal education.... Open to suggestions!!! smiley

Hi nasty.. grin. Il soon be in ur shoes..I'm applying for a Critical Skills visa tomorow which I'm positive would be granted. My wife too is gainfully employed here in naija n my initial apprehension was wot she would do if she comes as a dependant but I read in some other thread dat she can change her condition after arrival in d Republic to either general work visa or student visa. Seeing as ua in already. Which area would you advice one t settle in..moderate cost of living n security..
