Justice Evoh Chukwu of a Federal High Court, in Abuja has granted the request for the extradition of former Managing Director of the Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company (NSPMC) Mr Emmanuel Okoyomon to the United Kingdom to face criminal trial of bribery and corruption.

The attorney-general of the federation and minister of Justice had approached the court for an extradition order against the former boss of NSPMC over allegation of corruption.

In the judgement that lasted more than one hour, the court ordered that Mr. Okoyomon should be extradited within 30 days to the United Kingdom for the trial.

In his judgement on an application filed by the AGF, Justice Chukwu held that there is a treaty agreement between Nigeria and the United Kingdom and since the treaty is valid and applicable in Nigeria the federal government has power to extradite the accused person.

Justice Chukwu also held that all legal procedures were properly followed by the attorney-general with the placement of certified true copy of letter of indictment of the accused, letter of request for his extradition from the British high commissioner while Mr Okoyomon did not challenge all issues of corruption levelled against him by the documents from the United Kingdom meaning that he accepted the allegation brought against him.

E don be for am!

Anyway, since the accused didn't any of the issues of corruption leveled against him, he seems to accept he's guilty of the offences. So let him go and face justice over there.

We should expect many of similar extradition requests from Western countries in the days and years ahead with GMB as the president as he will cooperate fully with anything to punish the evil doers.

Britain would have punish that person even before our legal system is aware. Ok Mr.Alarm's case is perfect enough to answer your question . Look at Hallibuturn scandals. All the foreign nationals have been punished by their various countries. We have not done that up till now.
