The Federal government has been ordered to grant medical attention to members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who have been detained over various crimes. The leading defense counsel, Barrister Ejiofor has demanded that the Port-Harcourt Magistrate Court should order for the treatment of the Indigenous People Of Biafra activists, who were severely brutalised and molested by the Nigeria combined team of Force men.

The 38 IPOB family activists who were arraigned at Magistrate Court 5, were seen limping with severe injuries inflicted on them by the Nigeria Police and were left to suffer in pains at the State CID detention center without any form of treatment.

The prosecutor, Inspector Wilson Isaiah, stated that the accused were injured because, they were fighting to overthrow the Nigeria Government.

This was countered by the defense counsel, Barrister Ejiofor, who made the court to understand that the arrested Biafra activists were unarmed and nonviolent, but were brutalised and he has every evidence to show to the court.

Following the huge argument between the lead defending counsel and prosecutor, the presiding Judge, Sir S.D Andrew Jaja ordered that the injured detainees should be well treated, before the next court sittings.

The case was adjourned to 30th day of January 2017, for bail hearing.

Federal Government can't go about injuring peaceful protesters if they don't plan on treating them. The government excuse in the court was really stupid, 'overthrow the government?' I mean, WTF?!

At last, they'll shop their own part of the National Cake in a novelle way..

Hope the government would actually obey and not contest the order and the recipient would want the offer...

The Judges are very useless. That was how they freed Nnamdi Kanu despite the fact that he instructed Igbos to kill any Hausa they see like in that evidence below

Waste of tax payers money!

Why must they grant them medical attention after violating the laws of the land and same time attempting to breach the constitution of our dear Nation.

Until our government begins to see us as humans that have the right to life, we are nothing but objects to test political power and violence.

This is what the New Nigeria Vanguard is against. Political brutalisation of Nigerian Citizens.

Even a charge and bail lawyer will make a mincemeat of him.
I thought Osibanjo has stopped that practice with the new criminal justice system reform.

You want to overthrow the Nigerian government and you are limping from a mild encounter with security people. Better think seriously about the level of your determination and readiness.

You shouldn't compare anti-Trump protesters to Biafran agitators. The differences are very obvious;

1. One sought permission from the police before protesting, the other did not.
2. One seeks to remove a government via a civil approach, the other seeks to call for blood to achieve its aim.

They are not in any way related and close.

You're beneath an animal. So I should be brutalized and killed because I'm protesting something that is within my.legitimate rights?

I repeat, you're worse than a scoundrel!
