yesso the only barrier I've now is a tutor am staying in kaduna where hausa is rampant sadly no one to rehearse with sad

Oh don't be angry Fulaboy, you can always learn the language. You can create an association of fulfulde speakers in your town and see if people will show up so that you can practice together. If you are on facebook, try fulanitube and zone fulbe. Those two pages interesting things on fulbe. For example a dictionary fulfulde- english has recently been out together.

Historically, the ancestors of most of the Fulani's in Sokoto & the environ came from Mali & its neighborhood ( including La Guinea ). Most of them came to settle down & intermarry with the indigenes ( the Gobir, etc. ) during the dynasty of Shehu Usmanu Foodio,. While others came later.

The intonation of those in Sokoto seems to have been corrupted with the Hausa one, compared to that of Senegal.

Correct but the Sokoto Fulbe are found not only in Nigeria, but Northern Benin republic and Western Niger republic. They truly speak the beautiful Fulani (Fulfulde) dialect in those countries.
